Originally I wanted to just use a revamped version of my FFXI char (shown in my sig), but since I wanted to use a melee job and my XI char was a summoner, I decided to translate into eorzea one of my original characters I've been using for an OC comic battle contest.



I originally made her for an illustration piece for an exhibit at my town about steampunk, then reused her for the comic battles, eventually I created some sort of plot where she needed to transverse universes (as for starters reaching the OC battle island was via dimension travel) so it was kinda easy to replicate her in FFXIV as a dragoon (as she used a spear on the battles)

My main, Key, is my alter ego in Eorzea. She's been my main in most of the mmorpgs I've played so far. Her name has varied, since I like following naming conventions. I usually choose human as her race, but there are times she's been a half-elf/elf as well. And she's always, always been a spell caster, preferably a CC class- Arcanist here as my first class. She's bookish, lazy, overpompous at times and never goes out without a few books/scrolls in her bag.

I really like how this character looks (cept the snow mittens hehe)

I bought a time card so everything is sweet now! Looks like my long weekend won't go completely to waste! P.S Please don't expect too much from my doodles, just killing time and I'm not too good. Also sorry for the guys, I'm particularly not so good with male characters

Ah, just realised it the pic turned out a bit blurry. When I have some more time, I might install photoshop so I can just sketch there instead of with a pen and taking a photo of..

Just to reply to your little bit to Sunoske though.. I mean, definitely! Stuff 'quality', somehow someone drawing your character on your behalf is just so, so special somehow no matter how technically skilled they may be - not that you aren't!

On which note.. well, thank you so much! I didn't notice blurriness and even still, the drawing really is just plain lovely. Roru's player hasn't appeared today but I'll be sure and show them as soon as I can!

Again though just.. thanks for the lovely thread. I might add some of my other characters later too, just for fun ^^

Edit: I tried to make my character from xi... The Mithra with red hair in a bun :3 but nothing matched it in xiv.. But I'd like to imagine this would be her with a new hairstyle -3-

You did an AWESOME job of my Enki! Thank you! (I kind of mistook this thread to be a general 'tell everyone about your character and general fanart' thread - I didn't expect you to draw a pic of my character ).

I love everyone else's art as well - there's so many talented people out there, it puts my drawings to shame. :P

Okay... So here is half of the people who posted on page 2... I drew it on paint so it all somehow became more experimental... (looks like i draw slightly better with pen on paper) OTL



(as you can see one of my many weaknesses includes drawing males, manly men, old men (and women) and yeah... )







I'll probably stop doodling when it comes to page 5 (the last person I chose to doodle will get a surprise special), but please do continue to post your background stories regarding your characters/character creation, and I encourage other people to spread the fun, love and doodle
