people buying titan runs need to get the gil from somewhere, thats after they have used an amount on pre-relic weapons and materia, so no, the main quest doesnt count into this calculation. The gil would have to come from crafting, gathering, or grinding tomes. But if you do these tedious tasks, then im pretty sure youre not gonna use your well-earned gil on one measly titan run.

way more people are using the gil sellers for high level crafted gear...ie: Vanya then they ever have off of titan, the cost for titan runs is a joke compared to what crafters charge.

42 pages of mostly people trying to justify buying their way through content. I don't understand it.

The problem, as I see it, isn't the act of buying/selling at all(though I think it's exploitative and don't like it, but whatever). It's the idea that everyone is entitled to every milestone in the game no matter what they have to do to get there. That very attitude is what has fed RMT and all other forms of cheating in gaming for decades. Not only that, but it snowballs when you have a community that takes players at face value(i.e judging entirely on gear/class)suddenly picking up handfuls of inexperienced players with poor connections that should not have been able to get beyond Titan but had the money to make it happen.

How people make their money is one thing, but to say these things "don't affect" the game play of others is shortsighted and only applies to the xenophobes who don't party/raid outside their FC comfort zones and for exactly this reason.

At the end of the day, if I have to end up with these people, I'm going to know why and who is all at fault.
