Any tips on Healing in Amdapor Keep as a Scholar

So yeah I decided to give AK a whirl for the first time. My problem here is the demon wall. Partly because of it always forcing me to move every two seconds, the other because after about the first move...or whenever the adds spawn, it seems damn near impossible for me to do anything. I'd try to cast a Succor but nope! Gotta move outta the way from the thing. Any tips here? I don't wanna be a burden to future parties or anything like that.

To explain when you can cast after the bees spawn will sound more daunting than it really is.

But really, after an inner/outer liquify line attack, you have alot of time to cast. Just don't forget the repel after 2 sets. I usually throw down a sacred soil, and succor for repels. Rouse+fey illumination+whispering dawn when the bees spawn takes the work off of you to cast.

If the rest of your group isn't getting hit by stuff that they shouldn't, you wouldn't need much besides 1-2 succors, your fairy, and probably a lustrate if someone stood in something.

You should be able to clear the entire fight without casting more than one Succor. Put your fairy in the middle (and move her back up after getting knocked back. The AOEs won't kill her) and start on the side. Your rotation should be to DPS in Cleric Stance then toss a Succor out every so often. The party shouldn't require any real amount of healing until the Bees come (if your group can't finish it before they pop), but even then just pop sprint and keep spamming Succor.

That makes sense. The DPS I had were getting hit pretty badly. One thing I did notice though is that as a scholar I can actually stand in the middle. Take the middle hit,use Leeches and then not have to worry because Eos would heal me for most of the damage. But I was told that probably isn't a good thing to do

Lustrate. Use Lustrate whenever you need to heal someone and focus on tossing spells at Demon Wall. That's pretty much all I do, though sometimes you'll get DPS or a tank that does move quickly enough to dodge the AoEs so use succor then one physick should generally be good since Eos will likely top them off. Be sure to move since taking damage isn't needed and is just putting more strain on your than needed since you could use those GCDs to Ruin/Bio/Masma the boss.

Stay on the sides whenever you're not dodging, until Repel.

Middle - you're on sides, don't need to move
Sides - move to mid, do something while moving like Bio or Energy Drain to not waste time, move back to sides when it passes
    Middle - repeat
Sides - repeat, stay in mid for repel
    Repel

Repeat from the top. No reason for anyone to eat purple damage except summons. Succor up front, Succor before Repel, Succor after Repel. That about covers the healing if nobody is terrible at dodging easy AoE. Spend the rest of the time throwing up Cleric DoTs

Move preemtively. Start on the side at the start of the fight and then move to the side before the second round of floor moves. Then get to center. I leave my fairy on heel so she moves with me instead of bothering having to move her back and forth. I also suggest getting used to using Selene over Eos, especially for demon wall. Her speed up abilities help a lot. When bees pop throw down sacred soil. Aldequo(what ever that spelling is) before a repel. Should be golden.

You should be DPSing as much as you can. Because distance doesn't mean anything in the fight really just stay close enough so you can get Miasma 2 on it as well as the other three dots. If you find yourself having to heal a whole bunch more than likely it is the rest of the parties fault for not moving.

Cast preemptively. Once you get the pattern down of when ground AOEs activate and transition, it becomes easy to time them and heal around the brief second or two period in which you're actually moving during the fight. Honestly, the boss does very little damage, which your fairy can usually solo heal herself with little or no micromanagement. I just try to patch heal whatever damage comes before a Repel, drop a Sacred Soil before it, and cast a succor just before/while he repels. It usually goes off -after- his damage hits so everyone's topped off and shielded.

Also remember, you have Lustrate. You have an instant 20% of max HP heal that can be cast nearly back to back three times in a row while moving. You should also have swiftcast. Demon wall is basic preparation for worse fights later on. You have to get used to the idea that you will be healing a lot and moving a lot during fights.

    -Takes all the notes-

Sweet, I think I have a broad idea for the most part. I was spamming Succors cuz of the two runs I did I noticed the DPS taking a crapload of damage. I'll try giving it another whirl tomorrow and see if it works.

They were probably not moving properly. That sounds like a DPS problem not you.
