I already play Tera, so what would I be sad about again?. I also can spot the Copy/Paste. The only difference between XIV and other MMOs, is in XIV it's on the heavy end.
wow seems I got to spell things out for you lol. You'll be sad about XIV being no different to how it is now to how it will be in June inside those areas. Also no TERA dungeons do not copy-paste existing areas, the new ones are all freshly designed. Now I would love to be proved wrong, so if I am, win, if im not, win, whole win situation for me![]()
Pretty much - XIV uses the heaviest form of c/p, which is "block" c/p. Most MMOs uses the lightest form of it, which would be object so it's there but it's not in your face like it is with XIV. XIV has whole sections that are copy and pasted, most MMOs generally do it with objects or segments of land that you're generally not focusing on. Since XIV's areas are so big and empty generally you can easily focus on the c/p nature of regions.
Tera's lighting is manipulated pretty well to hide their c/p, but it is indeed present. It's present in most of the latest offline titles as well. It's a common technique in map design, it's not a bad thing that people are making it out to be - Just with XIV it's been done excessively.
Apparently, you dont like FFXIV just by the tone of the conversations I see you post alot. If you hate FFXIV that badly perhaps you shouldn't be here. These Forums were made so SE can get ideas of the playerbase, not to hear oh they will just copy/paste again blah blah.wow seems I got to spell things out for you lol. Just sayin'
Only because you see the same walls architecture in the screens, it not means it's copy/pasted. That architecture is all the same of that area because it's coherent with that 'culture'. You wanted to see a dungeon with a 'roman-alike' architecture near one with mayan-alike type? ..not so good.
If everyone who disliked the game left, SE wouldnt know what they're doing wrong. And thats most likely why we barely get any good changes because people keep leaving.Apparently, you dont like FFXIV just by the tone of the conversations I see you post alot. without a doubt (not a bad thing either)

Telkl them what you dont like.. but your acting like SE will never recover from this, which annoys me but tolerable...
All developers know what they're doing wrong - None of us are idiots lol. That's like saying if people prefer to drink RC Cola over Coke then Coke must be doing something wrong.
The thing is, the people here do nothing but whine and complain, even after getting what they want, so logically wouldn't that send the message everything SE does is wrong?
That's my point lol.. They have nothing better to do but whine and complain about a game that is being fixed. And for a person to say.. ah.. another copy/paste thing is putting negative vibes into SE works and they could mess it up by continually giving negative vibes. All developers know what they're doing wrong - None of us are idiots lol.
