I'm pretty excited by the news.

One potential worry is it sounds like we have to commit to just 1 Company (makes sense), but I hope that they allow your Friends (who may join other Companies) to help you out on your missions. Or else that'll be frustrating.

But otherwise, this excerpt has the *potential* to be the coming of Relic Weapons or Upgradeable Armor System? (Please please please! -

The Ul'dah company is the least appealing to me. I think that the grand companies may be what it takes to spread out the population again, because right now you have no real incentive to get away from the convenience of staying in Ul'dah, other than liking hanging around elsewhere for the fun of it.

A whole new line content that allows progression in a specific town should help a lot.

I was thinking the same thing, and by the look of it here on the forum, many people want to play in Limsa. So I think this might spread us out some more. And if the rumours are true about the devs redesigning The Black Shroud, imagine...

I see some people are worried about that, and I guess it's a matter of taste really. But personally I couldn't dream of joining more than one Company - after all, that would destroy the feeling of story, not to mention the uniquenes of the Companies. There would be no point in asking other players what company they're part of, because they are part of all. :/

Honestly they talked about rewards I wish each faction had a special class you could unlock, I know that would cause some commotion but I think it would be really awesome. Like the Maelstrom would get Musketeer, etc. Doubt it would happen though, SE likes making everything equal.

Well you can't be active in more than one company but presumably at some point you would be able to switch allegiance. I can see a problem if the choices you make prevents you from certain options permanently, but as long as you still have access to said content in some way I think it could be ok.

That being said switching allegiance should be more involving than changing class.

That, or it's just the naming, since Maws are indeed openings/portals, 'Mouths' etc.

Copy/paste exist in every MMO, and just because you hacked your way through the current areas and post the pictures doesn't mean what's in the data now is the data they're working with.

Since you probably hacked your way through XI's zones too pre release, if you remember, Lower Promyvion was different then they eventually changed the design to become Apollyon when it was finally implemented.

Doesnt Exist in TERA. So lets see what happens come june when you're sad the only difference is theres now copy-pasted mobs in there.
