They stated you can do "Trails" to test run which one you want to join then test run the others, You don't have to join your homestates company.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
i hear that... i guess my point is that i would rather hang in LL. love it there. i just hope that uldaih doesn't become the ONLY active region.

It's impossible for you to not wait.Or you could be like me, quit and play something else and come back in June :P
Good things come to those who refuse to wait.
I am aware it takes time to redesign the mess that Tanaka left behind and I guess we will see the fruits of that hard work when the new battle system is revealed although I'm seriously not getting my hopes up for that.
When I suggested a video before I wasn't asking for a walkthrough of the finished content I was asking for a teaser kind of like a few custscenes of the people who went missing in the new dungeon.
You passed the time with another game until something you liked popped up in 14, that's called waiting. As for a teaser video... nah we don't need it.
The Ul'dah company is the least appealing to me. I think that the grand companies may be what it takes to spread out the population again, because right now you have no real incentive to get away from the convenience of staying in Ul'dah, other than liking hanging around elsewhere for the fun of it.
A whole new line content that allows progression in a specific town should help a lot.
Yea hopefully this will be a chance for the devs to get people out of Ul'dah.
Will be going Grid myself.
Well yes I can't bend time .. :S nor would I want to.It's impossible for you to not wait.

But what I meant is whilst you guys are logging into FFXIV like good little fan boys and girls, I will be playing something more fun and rewarding![]()

It's not a matter of being forgiving to SE. It's more realizing that anything they do, people will complain, so they have to choose the lesser of evil. That doesn't change the fact that a video would have been a much more powerful way to show off the first instance in the game.
It doesn't matter if its completely ready or not they no doubt have the instance and assets designed they could easily throw together a 5 minute in game video.
Some of you people are way to forgiving, SE is a big company not some indie-developer, Tera isn't even out in the US/EA and see how many videos are on their website, every time they release new content they make a new teaser to show it off, that's how you get people interested.
If they do a video now with incomplete stuff under development, people will not realize it's under development and bitch about the flaws of the presented content and how this game is doomed.
If they wait 2-3 more weeks to present a respectable video with finished stuff, meanwhile people complain that they don't get info and are left in the dark.
If they release bits of info as soon as available, people bitch that it came out on JPN forums first instead of waiting another day to get it translated. If said info doesn't answer every interrogation players have, they bitch about SE being lazy and playing with the fanbase.
I think they made a good trade-off in throwing us a quick update even if it's incomplete, it gives us stuff to discuss while we wait.

I'm playing something fun and rewarding also. Your opinion is your own.
This game is filling up with content that I can't even keep up with it anymore. I was completely lost in FFXI and now I'm slowly becoming the same thing with this game xD Its a great feeling though, being lost. However, the lost I am talking about is a much greater feeling, means there will always be something to do besides searching for sidequests and waiting for guildleves to refresh. =)
