me too! my only concern, however, is how they are going to implement it... so far, I have been happy with how they distributed the story evenly across lvl1 - 50 (Ok, maybe some parts were unnecessarily draggy i.e. the banquet pre Titan and the botch-up with crystals pre Garuda). However, if they are going to introduce another series of super heavy content, I'm under the impression that they are either going to a) make them level-based progressive quests from lvl1 - 50 like how 2.0 is i.e. you could technically use those quests to lvl another class or b) make them lvl 50 quests/dungeons all the way or c) increase level cap; and a) would be nice be inappropriate, b) would be akin to coil and CT and require players to do endgame dungeons which i personally am not a fan of compared to crafting and gathering, and c) would be too soon imo.

Well we calmed the Sylphs and they won't summon Ramuh unless encroached upon. We also know that the Sahagin lack the necessary crystals to summon Leviathan, so expect them to start more raids on crystals. Shiva has probably not been taught to the Gigas yet, after all they just now appeared in Coerthas.

The other Primals will be added in later patches - Leviathan after all was always in 1.0's client code, just dummied out for the same reasons Titan originally was (due to the 2011 Japanese tsunami and earthquake being too recent and hence Leviathan and Titan were considered to be in bad taste), a teaser of Ramuh's new battle music was released by SE a while ago, and Ferne posted images of Shiva's concept art and early renders on the main website blog earlier in the year.

So it's obvious that the storyline will be added to, to explain the appearances of the new Primals (but your explanations Noloe are definitely logical).

I think you will find that that was not Ramuh's music in the end, instead implemented for Ultima Weapon part two.

Final Fantasy XII is my favourite game in the series and I fell in love with Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy Tactics as well. Ivalice is a wonderful setting and I would be delighted it if turned out that FFXIV is set in the same world as Ivalice.

Well, I saw this as well and it's very exciting to know that the story does not stop there. And that there will be many more exciting elements to the story. You wouldn't believe how mad I was when I saw Thancred (a.k.a. Lahabrea) standing by Gaius' side laughing his head off while the Scions were trying to escape from the Empire. But that little bit at the end with Hydaelyn going all purple and red and the Ascians all together like that (not to mention Bahamut screaming his head off!) really gives something to look forward to. I hope the patches with the new story content come soon! Also, where are the rest of the primals? Like Leviathan and Ramuh?

As we all know, a big name is mentioned by them. Zodiark. When I heard it, I knew that Final Fantasy XIV is really going to make something huge about Ivalice Mythology.

What this means is that the influence that FFXII has over FFXIV is WAY bigger than the most would expect.

Yeah see I can't get excited. I played 12 for 2 hours after I bought it at release, then I gave it away to my friend because it was terrible. Just.. god awful. The only good thing about a game set in Ivalice was Tactics because it was a brilliant game, incredible replay value, and the story telling was unlike any previous FF, it wasn't predictable. It's actually one of the few gems Square has outside of Xenogears.

Y'know, a part of me is a trite concerned with this. If you played WoW during Vanilla, there was a huge ass quest chain that ended with the Onyxia raid (on the Alliance side). During Wrath, it got retconned so that the part where you expose Onyxia got removed (apparently because Onyxia was unimportant content at the time).

My theory is, they have Ramuh's model in there - mayhaps they might've locked us out of the Story Mode Ramuh fight, only to retcon the fight later and actually require that bit with Frixio to end with a Ramuh battle?

Or they could have the next arc in the story deal with the elements of Ice, Water, and Thunder. I mean, when you think about it, those are all aligned towards "Destruction", in more ways than one.

I am pretty sure that Livia (or maybe someone else) was called the witch of Dalmasca in one of the cutscenes. I really don't remember where I've seen it though. Anyone else noticed that?

I am pretty sure I read somewhere that they would have some story merging from other FF games in this one so I think you are not too far from finding something.
