Why aren't you subbing to Final Fantasy XIV now that the trial period is over?

I AM subbing (and am currently subbed.)

The people whose free trial period is already over and aren't subbed can't respond to your question, because access to the forums requires an active game account.

Yeah, but that's kinda like saying I should like VHS because VHS used to be state of the art.

Early access ended on the 29th of Sept, I believe. Then we got 30 days + a 10 day free trial, at least for the people who preordered the game. I'm sure there are still a good number of us whose accounts are still in the free trial period, but perhaps you have a point... to an extent. Just figured this could be a thread for people who like the game and would like to voice what is preventing them from subbing, so that the devs know why certain individuals are leaving... so they can get those players, and players who are leaving for similar reasons but not posting why, to sub. Constructive feedback is so important for a game in its infancy and could help this game flourish for years to come.

A smaller number of people'. The mmo audience is much bigger now, for better or worse. Not everyone can justify the time spent on grinding with little to no reward for hours spent performing the same set of repetitive actions, when there are other games that can provide gratification in a shorter amount of time with more meaningful gameplay mechanics. There's a lot of promise in some of the systems in place in Final Fantasy XIV, but some adjustments need to be made.

Good to know. One less issue with the game. It shows that they do listen to the forums, and that this post wasn't all for naught.

I'll give the game a month, but if they use "The next patch" marketing tool and refuse to fix glaring quality of life issues + the teleporting bot farming, I'm out.

You have like 40 days for me! Enjoy the 15 bucks or w/e SE....I'll try to enjoy your product.

I've subbed for 3 months already. However, I do notice some glaring flaws with the game. Nothing is perfect MMO wise on release. I think it was a huge mistake to release coil and not CT (the precursor to coil). Fates are fun with the right group of people, however they should not eclipse dungeons / leves so hugely in experience. Right now I really detest the tome farming and honestly whats the point when lets be honest I guarantee you CT can be cleared in AK gear instead of DL. I'm just going to level and see what they have in store come November.
