Regardless, the forums were an excellent idea. It's better to have the gamers' input on the game rather than not have them, even if the input does come with a lot of trash and harsh wording.

yes, when you are on a professional company website this is considered flaming. remember we are not on a personal forum, but on one ran and operated by a business. square enix whether we like them or not is a business.
