the game has virtually no players, mostly due to the fact they havent updated anything in months due to some massive planned changes. So it isnt surprising that who is left is cliquish, and not that many at that.

tbh it hasnt changed its been like since launch but the sad fact is its too much solo and no party now unless ur ls is up for it.. for me the draw to ff mmo's is the party aspect of the lvling, if i wanted great soloing i'd play almost all the other mmos

in all honesty the lack of partying has more to do with a lack of people, a lack of content to do with high level charachters, and really when you boil it down, we only have like 6 or 7? jobs

It's communication, and it's a sign that development is moving ahead and that the dev team has some idea of what they want to do to us. After reading through these forums we should all be happy that they don't make every mob in Eorza R9999 with full aggro for a day.

This is true, but at the same time being forced into groups with people who honestly don't want to Party isn't much good either. I'm always happy to party with folk, particularly outside of my Linkshell (I don't like the cliques, I prefer a full on community) but not many respond or are willing to join up - and that tends to be the way people are in most games nowadays.

It is all about the SP, the loot (see the NM hunting since their introduction) and other such things, rather than the experience in a shared world - and thus the game is having to be changed to try and make people group up. Taking the time to get your gear repaired, buying from other players and even standing around chatting is also part of the overall MMO structure in this case - but people don't want that, they want small groups of people they have known for years, killing monsters for loot and not having to deal with other players.

MMORPGs have been losing the MMO, and RPG aspect for years (stacking stats does not an RPG make, if anything pure stat stacking is the anti-thesis of a true Role-playing game) but then every type of game is becoming a full on force of constant 'rewards' and incentives to play a game we would have happily played years ago without the constant carrots in front of us, as they were actually good games.

Anyhow, good or bad content, it'll be a surprise.

We can't judge things if they don't exist yet. Yes, we can judge speculations, but we may judge what isn't planned (a.K.a talking bullsh*t)
That's why I would wait mid-June, so we can actually touch content by hand and evaluate it.

Anyway, I hate playing alone in an MMO. I mean, what's the fun of doing leves, explore, kill things ALONE!? Tbh, I neither craft alone, but with some players/LS Mates chit-chattin' =D

but see there's the problem. if he runs through shouting for a party and you are crafting and chatting to your linkshell and not him he sees you as solo. when i craft i am in skype with a group or vent with my ls, but people don't see that so automatically think you are the problem. they don't care what you actually are doing they see what they perceive you are doing. you could be trying to hq a material for someone elses gear, but they just see you as solo playing and hate you for it.
