a PC player can have a slow HD as well. My friend has, i think it was, a 5400 RPM HD, and it loads just as slowly. They'll know instantly. PS3 takes like 20-30 seconds to load at the start of the dungeon. Even if you lied they'd probably remove you.
I don't condone it, just answering.
I've also seen people wear unpowered/unfinished relics to lie their way into relic only teams. The situation is pretty bad on Hyperion with shouts like that...
So yes, unless they plan to remove them mid run, they aren't going to know.

I see no problem.
they're making their party. you don't like it? make yours.
Yeah, most teams I've gotten into leave the run together the sec they see a long loading time like that at the start. Then boot the person once out of instance.
I'm shocked everyone doesn't know any of the things I've pointed out. Is it just Hyperion that's this much of a rude and festering hole? The shout in OP's pic is what we see nearly every minute, and anti PS3 elitism and leaving runs cause of slow loaders is pretty much commonplace.
I'd rather everyone was friendly, but it seems to be the majority rule among those teams I join.
now help me if i'm wrong no this is not bad mouthing to ps3 players but did they not put they 3 second global cooldown in cause of the ps3 players or am i wrong ?
I'm curious exactly what game has caused this mentality? Last time I played WoW the community was bad but not like this. I know FFXI had it's bad seeds but nobody was excluded because they were on the PS2 or 360 or because of the gear they were wearing as long as it was decent and not something that makes 0 sense. So between a month after cata (last time I played WoW) and now so what the f**k happened?
Omg..... Get over it please.
First the speed runners are being told don't use DF and to make their own groups with their own requirements in /sh.
Now that's exactly what they are doing and it's STILL a problem? Not everyone is going to play like YOU. Regardless of how silly YOU think the requirements are.
Feel left out because you don't meet the requirements? Gear up.
Think the requirements are stupid? Don't join THEIR party.
As far as the ps3 thing goes. People will always find reasons to exclude people. In every mmo I have ever played people always have gear requirements for dungeons. The better geared you are the faster and more smooth the run will be.
Like really, this is kindergarten stuff people.
Then dont do it with them. Why come here and cry about it? Go make your own party full of new players doing it for the story.

Honestly, most PS3 players (practically all people with the early generation PS3s) have upgraded the hard drives to bigger and better beasts, if not for speed then for space. I recently put an SSD in mine. Load times aren't an issue at all. And the global cooldown has never really been explained so it could well be any number of factors, controllers being one such possibility but even then it's still not an issue known solely by the PS3. Controller support was added in Beta 2, before the PS3 Beta, but even before that global cooldown has been in the game since 2.0 testing began. The PS3 is clearly not the reason for it. Now, all that said, I have seen the prejudice against the PS3 and it's made me not want to take part in end game. If all I have to look forward to is bigotry then I want nothing to do with it.

I haven't played an MMO for a few years, the last was WarHammer online, before that WoW and FFXI. The community wasn't perfect in those games but I never got ripped to shreds every time I made a small mistake in a group and people weren't exclusionary to this extreme. My only guess is people have less patience now than several years ago.I'm curious exactly what game has caused this mentality? Last time I played WoW the community was bad but not like this. I know FFXI had it's bad seeds but nobody was excluded because they were on the PS2 or 360 or because of the gear they were wearing as long as it was decent and not something that makes 0 sense.
