Give us Dye for all gear, independent of type or rarity

It would be dumb to be a black mage with a white colored, black mage gear,
and it gives one more reason to use crafted gear.
Or wait for the vanity slots.

The darklight set for healers is pretty "sinister" looking, so that was already out the window, you did see the darklight gloves of healing? because holy mages wearing some deadly looking claws makes alot of sense.

yep, seeing how DL gear is relatively easy to get now ( meaning just about everyone has a set ) it would be nice to dye the white part of my cowl of healing to say red or yellow ... and while we're at it, I would LOVE to be able to dye weapons as well... I think a black and gold WHM relic would look sick!!! ^^

I support this! except the dying of AF part. Otherwise EVERYTHING ELSE SHOULD BE DYEABLE!!!! I hate wearing full black as a SMN with my DL... could I please dye it a nice blue or green? Something that is similar to oh.. idk.. Summoner Colors?!

FFXIV only need one thing:

DCUO appearance system.


You could preset 3 colors like this:


and apply them on every single pieces of gear you were chosing to display via its own vanity system. You could do it on every pieces available in game, endgame gear and weapons included.
99% of the gear had 3 colors slots in them. No need to mention the costumes possibilities were almost infinite.
Unless you were being copied ( or copying ) or wearing the FOTM style, absolutely no one was looking the same.

Unfortunately FFXIV is nowhere near DCUO when it comes to feel unique even with the future vanity system full of restrictions and the current dye system.

One major problem having so much endgame gear undyeable most people overlook: players are rarely seen wearing a single, full gear set.

Most of the 50 players are wearing a mismatched set of AF+Darklight+crafted gear they were able to splice together for optimal stats while they grind up the ladder. People in full single sets are rare site. So having a bunch of lvl 50s dressed like miscolored scavengers just so that occasional one sporting a full set won't "break your lore" by dyeing it is an acceptable thing to force on the whole community? Seems extremely selfish to me.

This game doesnt make sense at all either, its fantasy who cares.
Coral can be DYED irl. So why is it a big deal if you dye change the item name big whoop.
