Looks to me and Google Translate like the general consensus in the JP community so far matches ours, which is to say they also preferred the shape of the 1.0 models.
I also saw someone disappointed that Miqo'te tails aren't as animated as they used to be, which is something that I remember people mention during beta. The dev excuse was, predictably, limited PS3 memory.
But that's beside the point (literally).
They were more animated in even XI as well, they didn't sway "naturally" but XI was a generation 1 PS2 game. The Mona Lisa needs to be changed too, because she isn't sexy enough for my personal taste....Why because you said so? In the beta there were large numbers who were unhappy about this.
Why should this be ignored, we should be able to enjoy the game to it's full potential.
I can't enjoy the game to it's full potential because of this small probably not too hard to fix problem.

And it's not just the Miquo'te, many of the models look wrong now and need to be changed.
Huh? WoW has millions of "minions" and its... *stops* nevermind, you people.No it is a different engine, lowered poly models, low resolution textures on pc(for now)
I don't see why they had to use lower poly count models, but had to add 10,000 stupid minions to tax the system. Minions just scream F2P game, they are tacky. With a serious story/world like this it makes it a lot harder to take seriously

An official translation will come soon, but to sum it up in one sentence, it's basically done for the sake of performance optimization (balancing character detail with the increased variety that comes from the new races, etc.). Oh well :/
Like the poster below the dev post said, they basically had to sacrifice the butts to give birth to Miqote males and such.
