I guess... maybe it's just a pug thing? I've never had any issue with any tail swipe in my FC runs of Coil/AK. If anything, the tanks like that I proc Turn 1 boss tail swipes to relieve some of the damage because he takes time to cast the tail swipe.
Pug, but even good tanks do that(you will have to ask the tanks why). If they move to my flank, I just cut through to the opposite flank with no lost. (since most bosses are rectangular it's a short cut through)
And the lag..omg the lag, that red line is nowhere near and you can still get hit. Expect the worse, and everything becomes pleasant.
I will usually push it when I things are good, but I wouldn't stay in rear for one more second then necessary.
Ah, I get what you're saying. I can see the lag being an issue.Pug, but even good tanks do that(you will have to ask the tanks why). If they move to my flank, I just cut through to the opposite flank with no lost. (since most bosses are rectangular it's a short cut through)

He only wants to slack and be mediocre which i'm ok with it, but he should stop trying to spread his mediocrity to other potential awesome mnks. There shouldn't be any case where you want to skip your BS if your DK buff( or debuf) is up.
Despite your attitude towards adapting to circumstances, at least I have shifted the conversation from "Do this" to "slacking". A far better denunciation, because you can't claim failure of a run.
If it gets more Monks past dungeons, I did my job. When they get half a dozen runs under their belts you will glad they're not "lazy" any longer.
Its not. You keep saying this but its not. The only thing I haven't done is coil. Everything from noob dungeons to Titan HM (ive cleared Titan, no unnecessary hits) I can bootshine everything with no problem. Ak boss? Bootshine. In fact I can bootshine *after* he starts his rear aoe and *still* make it out in time. Same goes for Chimera/Hydra you name it. It takes all of a half second to bootshine. I dont even stop running when i bootshine. I bootshine while running and finish my animation at the flank I started from. Thats how you're *supposed* to do it.
The only place you cant use bootshine is demon wall. There's no excuse to not use it. 100% crit is *huge* dps increase. Dragon Kick is really only for debuff refresh.
EDIT: Ive *never* ever ever been hit using bootshine. So I have a hard time understanding why you keep thinking its a liability.
Well then my BS is broken because I don't always get a Crit Hit, Even when i'm testing on the striking dummy.
Then that means you weren't in Opo-opo stance. The bonus doesn't work on an opening even if you're under the effect of Perfect Balance (though that does let Dragon Kick immediately apply its debuff, which is weird).
With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.
I'd rather wipe 3-5 times with a mnk that wants to play properly than clear it first time with a lazy monk like you, in fact, when vote kick is introduced if i see any mnk doing what you claim is the best i will kick him because i think it is a disrepect to your party to not use the best combination when it takes 2 seconds to do it and no effort at all.Despite your attitude towards adapting to circumstances, at least I have shifted the conversation from "Do this" to "slacking". Ok I thought that when you have GL up you are in Opo-opo form at all times until it falls? If not then that would be why it doesn't always Crit hit for me. Only reason I think that you are in Opo form at all times when GL is kept up is that AoTD bonus is Silence which in Turn 2 of coils I use a lot and always see it proc.
