Not sure why SE gave Titan weapons, when most people do him just to finish their relic quest. It just makes his weapons for show, they are just useless.
They should have him drop rings, that have the same ilevel as the DL ones, but different sub stats. This would help brds, tanks, casters and tanks who just got one DL ring.

Even for the more ambitious of us who are actaully going for all relics, these are still useful when actually doing the titan fight for your relic. Also, they look awesome.

Don't change primal drops!

Titan drops are the same as Garuda, you get her weapon to kill him once to get your relic. I have never done a Titan kill with someone using the Titan weapons.

The weapons are not useless. Choosing "Need" on the same class weapon that you just killed Titan with is useless. If people pass on their own class weapon if it drops it will help others kill titan on other jobs. It might not make sense now, but in several months when people are leveling their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, jobs through Titan.

I have people on their 4th or 5th 50 in my FC, they have their Garuda weapon for Titan. It's the same ilevel, same magic/attack power on a fight that takes 6-7 minutes. I'm just saying there is no reason to get and use a Titan weapon, but I guess you guys like the look or something.

Yet they don't have earth resistance do they? Have you seen the damage mitigation from resistances? Its no wonder they are such a rare stat.

I just don't know, your complaint seems completely trivial to me.

No. That is not what I am saying. Where did I say anything to the effect that resistance is a required stat? Your argument is that the weapons are for show, but that is only the case if you Need on them with the class you beat him with, which is a selfish and pointless thing to do. If anything they should remove the ability to "Need" Titan weapons.

Example: I beat Titan with my DRG and the BLM weapon drops. I greed and get it. Now when I level my BLM up, as soon as I hit 50, boom, I have a quality weapon. No grinding or purchasing required. This is the benefit of Titan weapons. You are already getting your relic after you beat him, the weapon drops just help you beat him with other jobs.

You're saying they are doing it for your other jobs that you want a good solid weapon for when you hit 50.
So I'll ask you this, would you like to do Titan 10+ times to get your blm weapon or Garuda?

Why would you do Garuda 10+ times to get your weapon instead of Ifrit? Do you see how assinine this conversation is?
I'm not grinding Titan for gear. I didn't grind Garuda for gear. I didn't gind Ifrit for gear. Did I have to? No. Could I if I wanted to? Yes.
Are the drops required? No.
Are the drops nice to have? Yes.

That is it. The Primal fights aren't designed to drop gear you absolutely need, they serve other purposes. Their drops are just a bonus you get for completion.
