Just wait until the final two dungeons, where everyone's excuse is either "You can watch them at the inn.", "We will run out of time!" or both.

No, the final dungeons both give you two hours to complete 'em and I can guarantee you that will never go over that limit unless you wipe repeatedly. It has nothing to do with the cutscenes. Not entirely their fault though. Just Square Enix's dumb idea to make the most (or only) story heavy dungeons a place to farm endgame.
What I don't understand, is why they just don't put the cutscenes before the DF match, or after the Duty is exited. Other than the storyline bits that accompany the Primals, every dungeon I've been to seems to throw an unnecessary long cutscene before AND after the final boss. I think the only cutscene that was actually relevant to be before the boss was the one to "Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak"No, the final dungeons both give you two hours to complete 'em and I can guarantee you that will never go over that limit unless you wipe repeatedly. Given, this isn't the only game that does this. What they could have opted for Mabinogi's solution which is the Party Leader can group-cancel the cutscene. However...
This comes pack to a problem with how the game assigns a party lead, and who actually is the Party lead. In every dungeon the Party Lead is always the tank, and they're always the one who wants to rush it. The game should automatically assign the Party Lead to one of the players who hasn't completed the dungeon yet. Or the game itself could just use a "skip all cutscenes I've seen" feature.
I have always done instances as a tank. If it's my first time I will watch cutscenes. If they charge in without me or get me locked out then they can go fudge themselves the party list says I'm in a cutscene.
The first time I did the last two instances I got left behind while watching CS because noone said a word cept they all got pissy when everyone died. I got time I can do em as many times as needed but the first time I'd like to see the CS.
Yes, I and another tank and damage got this shoved down throat and crap-talked constantly for sticking to not skipping the scenes on Praetorium, to which personally I always replied invariably that I won't skip the scenes my *first* time through for the added padding of cushion time to account for possible wipes. As it turns, we were churning through with abundant throughput and the individual talking the worst and warning of doom and gloom, and it being our fault if we missed timer, ceased said crap-talk.
In the end, we one-shot everything, with another and I never skipping a scene. Did the multiple aggressors apologize? Negative. But I can surmise it was felt and unspoken.
Point being, *first* time though, if you want to enjoy the story then I would advise do so; there would be more runs and more runs so don't ruin your first.
As a note, I did click through dialogue with decent expedition, but refused to skip, and again we arrived at the end with over 40 minutes to spare.
