Key word is "asked" I guess.
Also they traded their skill, exp and gear for your understanding to skip content, which you gladly gave I think.
Thus this is a mutually exclusive trade of services.

True, but most the blame should be directed at SE for designing the end game to use these two very important and heavy CS dungeons for farming gear.
It was a very stupid decision, sadly that which will probably never change unless the 2 HM vers of dungeons coming with 2.1 are CM and Prae to circumvent this issue {that would royally suck though, cause the last thing I want to do is continue running these dungeons for gear...le sigh}
When I got to 50, I watched the cut-scenes and told the speed runners to fuck off. Yeah I got carried, but that was their fault for having no patience...heh
I don't understand the OP's attitude...
You want everyone you don't agree with or like to be rounded up and sacrificed/removed from the game? If only your enemies had that luxury.
Dealing with people, its called life. Learn how to coexist with people and appreciate the things you enjoy instead of noticing all the things you dislike. Find a group of like minded altruists and you guys can sit in Mor Dhona all day giving out free dungeon runs to your entire server and answering everyone's questions.

Sad as it is to say, these kind of players will always be around. It's a common in many mmorpg.
Today I ran with a group in Praetorium where have of them were new to it, and one of them wanted to enjoy the cutscene in the right way. First half of the run had people constantly bitching at him for viewing the cutscene. "Watch it at the fucking inn!" "Skip the cutscenes!" "We wanna make this run faster!" and my personal new favourite one: "Please skip the cutscenes, we can't finish the dungeon in time if you don't skip em!" God some people are so impatient.
SE had always designed their games with cutscenes during storylines. Frankly, this is how their games stay true to being Final Fantasy.True, but most the blame should be directed at SE for designing the end game to use these two very important and heavy CS dungeons for farming gear.
Ohhh the irony. Lol. Cant wait till a couple months rolls around.I don't understand the OP's attitude...

Can only hope Pharos Sirius will be the next farming dungeon that is also more efficient than Prae or CM. A dungeon with no other purpose.
I would wait for the newcomers to watch their CS, even I did watch them, nobody seemed to even mind, but on the other hand, I am not going to get kicked from party for you, if the rest of the partially premade party doesn't agree with that. I still wouldn't yell at you, though. :/

To be fair, if u join a run that is label as speed run, do NOT expect cut scene time. Build it yourself if u want to watch

Except regardless if you are 1 or 7, the group does not get to decide if one person skips or not. Majority does not win here. You join a group with DF, you don't get to make rules, period.See i have a problem with that. I join a dungeon where im a part of a GROUP and if the group decides sure you can watch the cutscenes i will watch them if not ill just watch them at the Inn. Ill lose nothing and save myself a headache of arguing with someone which ultimately will make me lose my time and theirs.
The way endgame is designed you need to run dungeons in order to get bloody Darklight at least 50 times and you act surprised nobody almost wants to spend 10 minutes extra each time someone wants to watch cutscenes.
By trying to force Your way through over others youre as much part of a problem you describe more than youd even like to admit.
No. It's the other way around. The default is to watch the Cutscenes. If YOU want a speed run, YOU make the group. If the option was given before every run to watch or not, ie it POPPED UP, without you doing anything, then you could argue majority rules or those who want to watch have to make their own group. However, you have to intentionally choose to skip, it doesn't give you the option by default.
Those who wish to speed run, if they want no chance of people watching cutscenes, need to form their own groups. Period. As I replied to the previous person, majority does NOT rule here.

The solution seems simple here.
For the Elitist: Form parties if you want speed runs. Stay off DF if you want speed runs. If you do use DF grab some extra patience on the way in for the new people.
For the New/inexp people: Don't claim to know what you don't or try to ride coattails. If the party is billed as a SR or "Gear needed" party then don't join it. If you wanna watch your CS's then go ahead. When the people complaining start paying your subscription then they can tell you how to experience the game.
As far as blaming SE...that's like blaming a tool making company for the crowbar used to cave in someones skull. It was not intended for that purpose. Have fun with the game and stop trying to rush to the end.
To the "experts": There are a lot of plans on how to get things done in these dungeons. Don't be so quick to judge that your way is the right or only way. Sometimes it pays to shut up and listen. You might learn something.

These threads are getting old. This really shouldn't surprise most people anymore. We are on the internet, you will run into people you dislike/don't agree with very often.
Solution:
Make friends who have similar goals to yourself and play with them. It's not that hard to do.
