    Bahamut's Coil turn lockout is silly

    What's up with this? There's no reason for people to be locked out of earlier turns just for entering a later turn.

    Our BRD couldn't make it tonight, so we're unable to raid.
    There are a lot of geared BRD sitting around doing nothing, but they won't join us, because they'll be locked out of all previous turns just for entering Turn 5 with us.

    This really needs to be fixed

    It is a double edged sword.

    Beside Turn 5 is a complete waste of time and efforts not like you going to beat it with a random bard anyway.

    Broken shit is broken.

    Edit: Were you not just complaining about rot in turn 2?

    So question, what makes you think the "progress" made in turn 5 will even amount to anything worth mentioning? It's not so much the lockout that needs to be fixed but more of the completely broken mechanics that are preventing even a single group from completing this outside of an exploit that nothing has been done about.

    Pretty standard system, don't really see anything wrong with it. Saves your progress, anyone new that comes in is put at your current turn. Also you seem to be complaining about pretty much everything, so you want people to hop in at any point and not get saved to anything they haven't done?

    Your complaints in yet a different thread really have no merit or viable solution lined out other than "fix this now please". Maybe you should hop back to WoW....oh wait they have the same lockout system. But at least you can figure out fights in a more efficient manner....right?

    With the way Turn 5 is designed, trying new things is progress. Regardless, any attempts at it are more progress than not trying it.

    I was using Rot as an example of an ability that gives you no hints as to it's mechanics; it just makes you stumble upon an understanding. It was to point out that no FC could go in, have Rot go out, and immediately understand 'Okay, we have to pass it around.' on their first attempt. Nor is there any indicator that it will wipe the raid if it isn't passed around.

    Please stop posting until you understand what you're posting about. They do not have the same lockout systems.
    Currently, if someone who hasn't entered BC even steps into Turn 5 with our group, they are locked out of Turns 1 to 4.
    The standard system is that you have to kill a boss, in order to get locked. There's no good reason to lock someone out of earlier bosses, if they don't succeed at killing anything.

    They're following the heroic lockout system WoW uses, I should've clarified. Normal lockouts yes you need to kill the boss, heroic it doesn't matter you get saved soon as you accept the lockout. I see what you're saying now about the lockout, people should need to down the boss instead of getting locked automatically so I'll agree on that point.
