You can hide behind pillars and avoid the golem AoE too, that's the method I tend to use. (Even if the red circle covers you: No line of sight.)

For the larger one, yes. There is a smaller white one that uses Obliterate that does not have a red circle and likes to stick to your party members like glue, making it a hard ability to LoS.

I use provoke for long range pulling succubies. Also, After the bees spawn and the DPS of your team is not enough, you should TANK 1 of them and let your team kill the other bee by limit break.

    great tips for the tanks!
as for the summoned little golem, it's usually us the DPS who handle/tank them
so it's advisable to stun them when they use Obliterate as it deals moderate damage around the golem

Just put it to the test for myself on a couple runs, its so easy! Don't even have to rush to dodge it like most skills (you know like have to dodge before the bar is halfway, dodging works even if its right before it fills) Wish I had known this before.

@OP great thread, I thought I had mastered tanking AK, but you learn something new everyday!

Obviously this will prevent you from taking big damage and take another load off your healer.
I learned this a few weeks ago, and I'll say everyone should be doing this. You have no idea how awesome it is to avoid ~1k damage just because you take a few steps forward and the mob freaks the hell out.

A strategy for the wall that I've liked is around the second repel after switching to the shield oath, hit Tempered Will. This will guarantee you won't get knocked by the repel and give you a quick shot at marking the mob the DD should focus on first and grabbing the other to get off some hate moves before things get too hectic. Stunning thunderstorm helps immensely as well.

Ah yes. I agree completely. I'll add this to the OP. Be advised that you need to still move back a bit, or the wall will overtake you and warp you to the entrance of the fight.

Standing here makes it easy for everyone to hide behind the closest statue (which is the last to transform) and still keeps the same statue between you an Imminent Catastrophe. You, nor the boss and sometimes not even your healer, will have to move and it keeps the room clear of Tail Swipes when running orbs around.

Thank you for your time, and I hope this helps some beginning tanks out.

I got cussed out for tanking it there today by 2 guys, Doctor Badtouch and Scott Brewster. If anyone knows them slap them upside the head for me cause I sure as hell didn't deserve the verbal assault, after they didn't dodge IC.

People use crowd control? When I suggest it a few times I was told point blank that "CC is for <edits>".

While that is true since CC really isn't all that needed but it does help me (as a healer) quite a bit when the other party members are new and or under geared. Plus if I am doing the CCing, then it gives me stuff to do (like throwing rocks ) other than spam cure 1s/2s all day and night long tee hee!

Anyways, +1 for the OP; excellent tips!
