Unplayable Lag

Well, there's lag as in "hiccups" and "freezes" of the game, which are more or less pronounced and may be solved with the right fix.

And then there's lag as in "position check of characters 3 times per second" (~300 ms or so) that's built in the code of the game and considered "working as intended" by the development team, making it sometimes frustratingly impossible to dodge an AoE or evaluate one's distance to a running mob (resulting in this counter-intuitive "target is not in range" message when the mob's just next to you).

It is my contention that the former is a concerning issue (especially when it makes your team die 9/10 times on Titan HM -_-... talk about frustration), a circumstantial problem nevertheless; whereas the latter is a fundamentally flawed design. I really hope they make this position check twice if not even more often. Every time a skill is fired for instance, on top of 6 to 20 times per second, would be acceptable for an MMO that relies so much on movement and dynamic reactions to events, and claims to have a decent endgame. And if HL PvE is barely manageable as it stands, I don't even begin to see how PvP can work with such a lengthy server reaction time.

Various reports on my server as well.. as someone else already posted, some people were getting spiked hard, others were mostly fine.

had this problem yesterday. I was trying to work on my mining and it took about 4-10 seconds per swing to register. Eventually got the dreaded 90000 and 3109 error. after that, it was fine.

I have installed Leatrix or whatever is name, I have put FFXIV ARR in cFosSpeed as max, I have tested ping and packet loss and nothing wrong with it, they are so good that my friends even wonder why. I have (even if isn't necessary cause my pc can run at max settings) the graphic but still on evening I have so a damn Spike Lag always happening since a week. I'm playing fine until evening, then later on on night it start calm down. Is impossible play like this, wish SE move EU server in Europe, nice idea to put them in NA -.-

I don't often lag in this game, but I had unplayable lag during an AK run last night, after failing demon wall like 3 times due to the 10s lock ups followed by the last 10 seconds playing on my screen in 1 second I just peaced out and went to bed. Lag seems better today

Well the lag is still coming at certain times of the day, it wasn't ever a problem until just recently and multiple people I know experience it around the same time as me (all relatively far away but I believe around the east coast).

As been reported this from not only me so doubt is OUR line. Also did tests and my line is just fine. Also happened on evening, when probably server can't afford the log in of many ppl.
Your point, is not valid to me.

I play from EU and I've been lagging very badly between 8 pm and 2 am GMT+2 (which I believe is the peak time for NA, and therefore my server) for a week now. Other times, I have almost no lag.
