    the problem isn't people wearing lv49 accessories in dungeons. Those won't slow you down at all if your using class appropriate ones
    and lv55 militia gear is pretty much on par with the gear you'd get in any dungeon you'd spirit bond in anyways so that's not an issue

    the problem is people wearing things like full crafting sets in dungeons doing next to no damage and getting one shot in every fight

    You can also do it with HQ Vanya set. Sup-optimal gear is just cheaper.

    The problem is not that they wear only crafting gear, but the ilevel of the crafting gear. Because you mentioned that militia gear is ok and that is also crafted.

    If I spirit bound in a DF dungeon, I also use only the accessories for it or craft some high level gear for it. Junk gear I spirit bound outside of DF during leves and farming.

    As a healer, I SB in AK all the time. I switch into my good stuff for the bosses, then put my SB gear back on while I'm napping/clearing trash.

    I think you're getting confused, she's not talking about crafted gear, but crafting gear, this is gear with +control/+crafting etc (to get crafting materia out of those, since the alternative is to spam crafts which consumes resources).

    Totally agree with the OP. Spiritbonding could use a rework where you are not forced to grind while wearing crappy gear..

    Or wear them during leves and farming (except if it is the tool or not wearable with all classes)

    What ARR need are good alternative places explicitly for spirit bound parties. In 1.0 there were the beastmen strongholds for it. Fast kill, fast respawn, stable exp (and the needed key items for the next primal fight).

    When you do speedruns and skip trash mobs, you're inconveniencing me and choosing to sacrifice my spiritbinding opportunities for your own personal tomestone gain.


    Honestly, though, as a WHM I can Cure1 for (conservatively) over 850 with all crafting/gathering accessories. Considering we were only healing for like 400-500 the first time we got to CM as part of the storyline, somehow I think healing for 850+ will suffice.

    There's a whole lot of silliness going on in some of these arguments

    1) As mentioned above, the difference (outside of the tank) in a SB set of appropriate gear and a regular gear set is seconds
    2) Anyone SBing crafting gear in a dungeon is a dips**t. Point blank. If that's what we're really arguing about, then I doubt you'll find many who will agree that it's ok to go ahead and wear crafting gear into a dungeon to SB. If you want to SB crafting gear on your DoW/DoM, then go do a FATE pt for heck's sake.
    3) The elephant in the room here is that you don't make gil, but lose it hand over fist by simply playing how you want to play (i.e. dungeon-centric) at endgame. Spiritbonding and selling materia is the bridge over that gap. Criticizing people for doing the only effective means to keep a positive cash flow at endgame is a little selfish.
    4) In reference to 3, if SE simply introduced reasonable (30+ gil per mob) drops for all dungeon trash in endgame instances, all of these complaints/arguments/problems go away anyway.

    Petition for gil drops to be added to endgame dungeon trash. It solves so many of these silly problems.

    Not sure why the complaints are for here.

    First of all, 90% of someone's damage is the weapon. Even if they use white accessories, like I do, they barely lose any damage so there is nothing to complain about. I literally lose only 18 Mind with all white accessories and trust me stat points in this game are extremely underwhelming. I did 10 Physick casts and noticed no difference with full DL or DL with white accessories. But how could I notice any difference ? I lost only 4.3% of a stat that already has a low value in the healing formula. We are talking about less than 1% healing and same goes for damage.

    Now you may be unlucky and get the kind of player that goes with all crafting gear in which case I understand the frustration, but in all honesty, that's the Duty Finder for you there. It's bad, it's slow and it's so terrible SE will have to introduce some kind of currency and MVP system for it.

    Moral of the story here, every problem with dungeons has the same answer and people have to learn it quick. Make your own groups.
