Where is everyone's favourite spot in Eorzea?

My favorite spot in all of Eorzea? Hmmm... (I'm thinking really, really hard here...) There are so many beautiful places in Eorzea. But, if i have to select just 1 location, i would say still say Gridania. If i would look over my shoulders right now and look at my fellow Company members, they would all stand there with their arms crossed, nodding and saying "Yep, she doesn't leave unless she has to." (^_^; )

How's everyone doing? Any big achievements in FFXIV?

My biggest achievement in this game so far is that i've managed to beat Garuda Hard Mode with my Free Company, the Beholders of Animus. I'm currently working on the Relic Reborn quest for my White Mage, in which i've entered the Primal Phase. So, the next thing on my list is to defeat all 3 Primals (Hard Mode) and complete my first Relic! \(^_^ )/

I wonder if a Bard could answer me a question? Tried some HM runs last weekend (Ifrit is a piece of cake compared to Garuda) and once in a while we had a Bard with us but.. Are songs useless now? They never casted a song and I wonder why o.o?

During a Garuda run someone basically said to me: "Filthy AF."
That made me sad and angry the same time. I still remember how I got it and it felt great and now people tell you this :<

Song's are good when you get into longer or more intense fights (I had a Garuda where we killed 6 sets of sister pop~! omgosh!)
White mages benefit from mage song often because they have no MP regeneration ability (Breaking my immersion since I should be able to 'draw from nature' D
And when you are in a longer fight either grouped or solo you can get a TP boost by singing to yourself hehe

I have not played BRD often enough to think of other uses atm <3

I haven't played WHM in any serious manner in ARR at high levels yet, but doesn't Shroud of Saints grant a refresh effect? Is it just not very effective?

Also, Hi e'erybody! Haven't been to the forums in a long time, my free time has been a bit scattered lately. While I'm here I'll answer a couple of the questions floating around.

Biggest achievement?
Hmm... not sure. I was glad to finally get miner marathoned from 38 to 50 in one go with a full stack of 100 levequests. I'm not actually done with the MSQ yet, so I haven't even started the real end game content yet (I'm close though, at Cape Westwind!).

Fav spot in Eorzea?
All of it is beautiful, and so for me, this actually really comes down in large part to the music. I absolutely love the calming song of Raincatcher Gully, and pretty much all the Thanalan areas. Which brings me to a question I will pose to everyone else:

What's your favorite new zone music in ARR?

Completing BLM relic from start to finish in one day

Fav spot in Eorzea?
Burning Wall. First time in game when the scenery took my breath away. I was exploring at ngiht and ran through sandgate and came out of the tunnel to a clear starry sky and the glowing amber aether.

The Praetorium. I love the piano bit.

You are completely right, I do often forget about enhanced Shroud only because the MP gain is so forgettable ;_;

Excellent! You really cheered me up and this thread is amazing thank you all! Especially the art.

Oh, and favorite music is the music at the Observatory in Coerthas.

Fav place is Coerthas because it is so dramatic, haunting and gorgeous. Also Camp Quarrymill/Bascarron Druthers area with the Chapel of 12 because I bonded with Quarrymill in Beta and it was my first real impression of the game.

I don't have a greatest achievement yet.... [nooblet]but for now I would say my first dungeon in a party and learning to party in general is becoming my greatest. This goes back to me always playing solo in XI so partying is a huge accomplishment for me and something I always struggled to try. Also ding 40 the highest battle class I have ever had in ARR/1.0 ..[tbc]

After months of planning and tons of proof reads, I'm ready to share the back stories for my characters, Astella and Buster. What was originally planned to be short bio's turned into something bigger. I didn't write it in a full, detailed story format, which would've probably tripled the story lengths. I used a lot of transition words, so my apologies to hard core book readers xD I will probably switch to that style when I delve into their parent's story.

I did the same with my Character's backstory. I wanted to "explain" why my characters name changed from Caitlyn Aldora to C'rysta Zeith. I've posted the story on my Character's blog as well:
