FFXIV: ARR becoming TORtanic

Seriously, with the way things are progressing, it won't be long until this game follows the footsteps of SWTOR:

- No PvP upon launch (even SWTOR had PvP on Launch)

- Little Post-Game Stuff to do (AK,CP Runs, Long Duty Finder Queue, Tomes Farming)
Very boring and repetitive stuff.

- Little incentive to do a max level alt class, leveling them is entirely dependent
Upon mindless Fates grinding and minuscule leve quests, seriously why shouldn't
former low lvl quests reset for a low level alt?

- Crafting is very boring and inconsequential and a majority of players have no interest
In wasting their time crafting wherein they could be doing other more fun stuff

- Worthless monster drops that give nothing but stupid crafting materials

- Very hard to accumulate Gil in this game because monster loot sucks.

- Ridiculous teleportation and repair fees

- No server transfers upon launch

- Terrible Instance Dungeon queues in Duty Finder

- No vanity/fashion items upon launch

I hope Square Enix remembers that first impressions last and hope they won't regret that these game deficiencies won't be solved too little too late like SWTOR did.

lol, well their first impression was 1.0, and they certainly more than overcame that.

Most of the stuff you mention are either a matter of preference, inconsequential, or already slated for implementation.

i got 50 whm in a week via story
i got 50 gsm in 3 days
i got 40 pld in 4 days.

i have relic and full dl

and i still find stuff to do...

As far as crafting goes, this game probably has one of the better systems. For some people, it is fun. If it's not for you, don't do it.

No, it's just "very hard" when you only focus on one thing.

They're not ridiculous. -.- It's ridiculous SE already lowered them once.

There were server transfers before launch, and server transfers will be available soon. What's the big deal?

For one dungeon, during peak hours, early in the week. Do something else, or stop complaining.

As this doesn't affect gameplay in any way, it is low priority.

the first thing i do when i see post like this is look at the op chara, and from what i see you have not experienced half of the things you are complaining about. So you are basically getting opinions from other negative ppl and claiming them as your own experience. If you are not having a good time just leave they are not keeping you here and you honestly do not have gil because you are trying to teleport everywhere with out any kind of income.

Not to play devils advocate here... but did you look up the right character? I did and he's level 50 Summoner with a level 8 lancer. His Summoner has 4 pieces of Darklight and he's got his Ifrit weapon. I think he has experienced the endgame grind and therefore can comment on it. Doesn't change the fact that he rushed through the content to hop on that treadmill... but he has indeed experienced it and therefore can comment on it.

crafting class is what i was referring to, but w/e this is the same post in every MMo some guy that blasted his way through game did not break to try other things and judges it all from that. Like me driving across America only staying on main highway not stopping to see the sites then write a report on the whole country

I agree on many points, but your point No.1 PVP. Doesn't really hold any weight, this is a 100% pure PVE game, and it will never have PvP outside of a trivial token feature.

you can tell by the basic gameplay mechanisms it will never be an even remotely serious PVP game. So if you want PVP, just quit it, I'm not being an apologist, just a realist of what this game will be and do.
