It isn't a PC issue. I have a gaming rig I just bought. 16 gigs of RAM, Quad core 3.40 proc 12mb, GeForce gtx 780 3gb video card on business class high speed internet. Trust me...it has nothing to do with my PC.

Also, many people in the zones were also complaining about the lag and many in my FC were also noting how bad it's getting.

Yeah, I'm not running around at all...just staying in one place grinding out craft leves. And you say so much for MMO for having instances?

Do you know how 90% of all MMOS run? When an instanced gets full to capacity it relieves zone stress by incorporating another instance (very useful for tiny zones). The number of instances are dictated by the number of players. Then as players unsubscribe you still will not know the difference in the instances since they are dictated on the number of players per instance to begin with. MMO 101.

If you really think 200 people vs 400 people in one small zone instance takes away from an MMO experience then I can't help you.

I apologize if this sounds like a flame... but why is whenever someone mentions the possibility of an issue being PC-related, the individual who brings up the issue always comes back with an insane gaming rig with a lighting fast internet connection that would make Bill Gates stand back and say "damn!"?

Not that I doubt you, OP... but it's highly convenient that you happen to be running a high-end gaming rig and yet, your experiencing lag issues when you are in highly populated areas... when what you are describing sounds like framerate lag due to too much being rendered for the computer to keep up with. Which... sounds really odd since your running high end video card. I experience the same kind of lag on my rig (Phenom II X4 955 3.2Ghz / 12GB RAM / Radeon 6870 2GB card)... when I'm doing Behemoth, Odin, or Svara. But that's the only times I experience any kind of graphics lag.

I would suggest toning down your graphics settings and stop trying to make up a gaming rig. Because honestly, if you were experiencing connection lag, you would be complaining about a delay between commands being issued by you and when those commands are actually being carried out... along with everything stopping in place for a few moments and then zip-lining to catch up. Those are symptoms of connection lag. Low FPS is not connection lag.
