it's kinda like a statement we use in construction.
"how many welders do we need for a 2 foot weld?"
"i don't know how many are we allowed to bring sir?"

the product that released with no way to sort your inventory? this product is the one you speak of?It must have been awful working beneath the tyranny of the Square Enix boardroom, slaving away day after day trying to meet a deadline, only to have customers hate your product in the end.
What a thankless task.
Well not anymore! Thank you Tanaka.
Edit: Can a moderator please forward our sentiments to Tanaka-san.
For the Love of God, These threads are always about derailing someone :/, onward to ideas for SE /nod
Just putting my two cents in =)
I really liked the original vision Tanaka had for this game, and I've been extremely unhappy with the new direction the game has been going since the reshuffling. I'm firmly of the belief that this game was butchered by upper management who set a completely unrealistic launch deadline that Tanaka simply couldn't avoid. Go watch the Making of Eorzea video that came with the game. They spent an amazing amount of time adding detail to the world, and several things they specifically mention making efforts to avoid were major problems upon release.
Tanaka failed miserably and his team wasn't that impressive, I give Tanaka kudos for creating Final Fantasy but he really should stick to single player games. I haven't lost any respect for him as a gamer and a fan, he just didn't have what it takes by himself to run an MMO. Honestly I would have rather seen Yoshi-P and Tanaka working side by side on the game because Tanaka had some great ideas but just didn't fully deliver.

Let me rephrase, one of original creators of Final Fantasy. Knowing that Hironobu Sakaguchi was main planner and Tanaka was just a game designer but worked on many FF titles.
I still don't think Tanaka should take the brunt of the blame. He really had a lot of interesting and original ideas for an MMO and a lot of the features he planned didn't get implemented due to pressure to release it to soon and poor internal communication, a problem that has burdened them for a while now.
