I am really glad a lot of "people" leaving this game as it gives me more hope the community will be better. Good riddance I must say. Good luck to the next game you are going to hop on and I am willing to bet there will be threads like this and the same people are going to leave

No, I will not be subbing. To my knowledge, harassment of other players is not to be tolerated. Yet, the NA/EU servers chat logs (/shout, /say, /tell, and /yell) are flooded with RMT spam.
I am legacy and could not get on my server at launch, so made a new char on JP server. Since launch my char on JP server has 6 RMT /tells. On NA/EU server 85 to date. (stopped /blisting and reporting as nothing was being done) Just turned off /shout, /say, /yell, and /tell. Which defeats the purpose of an MMO, which is to interact with other players. Now seeing players getting banned, yet the RMT and BOTS are still there, makes me believe that SE is in with the RMT's. I still have 17 days left of free play and won't be playing them. A company that allows its customers to be harassed continuously is dishonorable and not worth my time and money.

I was going to sub, even with the RMT spam since I can ignore chat if I need to. However, SE allowing the warping gathering bots with random letters for names is not something I want to pay them a monthly fee for. Many players have reported these same groups of auto-gathering (invis/warping) bots for over a week and they're still in the game. When I hear SE is banning these accounts, then they'll get my sub fee.

I still have like 40 days free. I bought the PS3/PC versions. That said I like the game, but the gold/gil sellers is really killing it for me. I even get whispers when questing out in a zone. I shouldn't have to block whispers and/or turn off yell/shout. Forget going to capitals, its literally every 2 seconds you get a message from a seller.

I probably won't sub after free time is up, it was fun at first but after getting a few classes to 40+ One of them to 50 I'm just not seeing the "hook" that grabbed me before, I look around and all I see are players wearing the same armor... Individuality is dead I guess. :/, and ya customization is a big deal to me in MMO's.

After 50 levels of dodging red circles, I'm tired of dodging red circles, and want to be challenged in a different way. Call me casual I don't care, but I'm looking forward to slow-paced daily quests to do after a long day when I don't feel like twitching out of red circles, the kind that WoW has. Yes, there's no shame in admitting that the FF devs can still learn a thing or two from the mistakes and successes of WoW, and apply this mmo-history to make FF XIV all the better in the long run.

The thing that grabbed me in FFXI was actually the difficulty in bosses and the variety in gear.

Not to mention every class has the same build of stats/skill (save for maybe 1 or 2, at most, cross-class skills). If i am gonna have the same skills as other players, I may as well look different. But such is not the case.

Possibly not and I really wanted to.
Things that put me off:

People got suspended because they had a lot of gil. They got 72 hours, but were banned all weekend already and that does not count because it is a weekend. Well, it is guilty until proven innocent, and if that happened to me, I would be upset. When I saw it in other mmos, they found guilty parties first, then banned them, with very few false positives.

Constant clicking of the mount.

Server does not trust client at all and only updates player position 3 times a second.

Too many red circles. I can master them, but it is just boring. Done it too many times before.

No right click ignore. Too much spam.

Not able to completely turn shadows off in the graphics options. I get high fps but I just hate shadows in any game.

No toll free customer support phone number.

I will still play for another month thou because I bought both versions of the game and was successful in registering them to the same account.
