That's an asinine attitude.
Anyway, the answer to these problems is that we need a Shepherd DoL who raises creatures and harvests mats from them.
I dunno why they don't just add more sheep/ fleece spots, I mean what's the point of making the place a griefing spot?
It sure as hell isn't a gold sink so what is the point of this?
Fix the unacceptable delay when dodging AOEs. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/84124-Either-make-dodging-AoEs-possible-or-make-them-not-instant-kills
Fix it! http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/89828-Sorry-SE-but-endgame-won-t-work-if-you-don-t-fix-something.
100% agree. Sometimes I'm too tired to keep up with the farming competition so I just leave. I'm not sure why people get so upset when another person can farm more efficiently.
This is one thing I miss about having pvp; someone farming mobs I want? Try to kill them first.
Do leves grant fleece as rewards? I got many many stacks of diremite web this way.
they just need to put PVP into this game. Flag it, kill the farmers, take your loot. Win$$
Your solution is intriguing... But the rest of your statement about my attitude is confusing.
Why is it an asinine attitude? Would you be ok with someone whining to you, if you came and started farming the same mob? Them accusing you of bottling? Then calling in 6 guildies (most of which aren't there to tag mobs but to open trade windows so you can't even attempt to tag) to help?
In my opinion, the asinine attitude is being ok with harassing another player who's better at something than you are. It's not cheating to be faster or have a better internet connection. It IS cheating / harassment to use trade windows to keep another legit player from farming.

Some of them are bots though. I know Leviathan has one that farms for Diremite Webs. Guy is there almost 24/7, same spot (stationary), same method claim (auto target nearby). Know how I can tell? You can mass pull mobs to the bot, and it will ALWAYS attack them, even if Diremites are up. It just goes for whatever mob is available to tab target. Haven't been there in a while though, so not sure if it's still there or not. What's really amusing on my server is how butt hurt people get as if they own the spot. Someone got so offended, they accused a guilty of mine bottling... Then called in reinforcements to spam him with trade windows so he couldn't cast...
Tip: if you're getting beat at farming, get better at claiming or leave. Don't accuse someone if bottling, then use crazy shady tactics because you suck at pulling.
But yeah, people shouldn't immediately jump the gun on accusations. Again though, there are many bots out there, so it's understandable that people might think of you as one, to an extent.
Anyone who says "claim better" doesn't farm - guaranteed. You can't outclaim someone who teleports to spawns and instantly claims them and get the credit for kill.
As much as I like pvp, an open-world system wouldn't work in FF. The playerbase is largely pve-oriented. They're going to have some sort of pvp in place in the future apparently, but it will probably use special maps for it or it will use an arena/battleground system.
You report those people, I think we were all talking about actual players outfarming each other though. I've farmed Diremite web, Fleece, Snurble stuff, and several different types of skins for leather and haven't come across a teleporting bot yet. Only seen the gathering ones do that. That being said, hopefully SE does something sooner rather than later about all the teleport hacking being done.
