Attention Overgeared DPS in AK

LOL! If you can hold hate with just flash and your gimpy aoe damage attack then your dds just plain don't know how to play, simple.

I swear, people just don't know how to read, you're embarrassing yourself.

Please l2tank. You are telling ppl who are on turn 5 to l2p, are u freaking kidding me? You think we need you to tank trash in the first place? lel, I have 4.4k health with food and party buff on a freaking BLM...I will wipe 3-4 trash before you are able to finish half your rotation and you are complaining?

Powered DPS = no bees, no wipes, no 3rd add on last boss..heck first boss would die before he is able to summon a 3rd golem.

This thread isn't about you, okay? Is that so hard to understand? Its one thing if the mobs actually do DIE that quickly, but when the dds have all this endgame crap and can't even down the voidwalker summoner before she summons, even if I stun it, they are doing it wrong.

Nay, you said you would leave if we picked up aggro, that alone made me rage. What worse than AK is a bad tank who leaves cause deaps are doing too much dmg...

Would you like us to count to 10 or 20 before we start auto pilot mode in this headache invoking dungeon? If dps in your group are badly geared and pulling aggro from you, I think you need to review what you are doing. If they are highly geared then play the freaking ping pong and enjoy the 23-25min AK ride.

It wasn't 'too much damage' that I'm complaining about chum, you'd know that if you'd bother to read this thread. When I mark a target, I expect it to be burned down, NOT to have to provoke and tomahawk some other trash that should've been slept or on me because a blm wants to tank adds and run away, WHILE STILL ATTACKING IT making any attempts on my part to pull it off them worthless.

I rarely leave dungeons, but if you're a cocky 'overgeared' dd not playing your party role properly, I will.

Attention inferior tanks: learn to tank more than 1 mob at a time regardless of which target your dps decides to hit, you need to learn how to hold multiple mobs that are both being attacked by different dps (cough turn 4 cough)

Take it as a personal challenge to hold aggro at all times regardless of what your team mates do.

No you aren't going to win every time but doing this has kept me improving as a player.


Edit also ignore these jaded dps in here mouthing off about how good they are.

I do usually, especially if there's someone who is new to a dungeon. Actually this is how I've gradually gotten better as War, playing with different people with different play styles in the same dungeon, but a full DL relic'd blm casting before I even pull? And then other 'geared' dds ignoring marks? Bye Bye party. I can only learn so much from running around trying to turn chaos into order, and when no one else is interested in doing so, I can't learn anything.

if DDs are pulling mobs off of you because they're attacking different mobs, or they aren't all focusing on the one mob you have marked, you do not know how to hold multiple mobs

both tanks are capable of holding multiple mobs with a different DD going all out on each one, if you're unable to do this that is your failing as a tank, not their failing as a DD

furthermore, there are encounters in the game that require you, as a tank, to be able to do just that

you may as well learn how to do it in amdapor before you get to that content and wipe your raid continually because you never learned how
