Maybe you need to remember that currently the FFXIV is free because they believe that the game will not even entertain the players. Still, I keep reading posts about new races, Male Miqotes, Copy / pasted zones, Size of monsters, new classes, Armors stats, etc.

I understand that these suggestions are mostly correct, and necessary, but not now. Square-Enix needs to urgently restore the prestige of having scores FFXIV very negative in the MMORPG world. Attract new players must be the priority. We need content that entertains all players, not just those who are already playing. Instanced Dungeons, new combat system, new types of transport, instanced PvP content, etc.

Can we look forward and stop looking sideways?.

Unfortunately i doubt the masses have any comun sence as to focus on what is needed right now.I see a lot more pointless threads being created and repeated unless we see heavy moderation on the forums.

There are no perfect solutions, but Male Miqotes not fix the problems with the game right now. The problem is that it costs to attract or retain other players, and personally do not want the FFXIV become a game for the minority. If you can not attract a sufficient number of players, perhaps within a year or two, we have to do micro-transactions or even close the game like Tabula Rasa or APB.

As much as I agree that some of the topics/suggestions on the forum are maybe a little over the top or not necessary (in my personal opinion), at the same time it was SE themselves that implemented this FFXIV forum in order to gain playerbase feedback and ideas.
I actually think it is nice that they are at least showing willing to take onboard some of the comments from people playing the game at the moment, and it is also encouraging to see that people are still passionate enough over the game to take the time and post on the forum (whether it be good or bad)

EDIT: No one'sa said Male Miqote are going to be the solution to the game's problems, they're just things people want in the future which is totally reasonable.
I'd check the threads with tags for discussions about upcoming changes and what people think about them.

lol, so your saying is okay to see thread after thread of discussions of the same thin over and over than in reality would do nothing to make the game better ?.
This is not the time for that.At all.You dont need a degree on MMO-ology to figure it out.
In fact if the threads were " we should have this in the future" i would be fine with .But we get WHY WE DONT HAVE THIS NOW !.

I think what's important to remember here, is that if we don't make what we want known and known early on.. We may never see these things considered at all. Something like new races or gender options are things that need to be on the table early, and something the developers need to consider and plan for.. This doesn't mean it's something we expect to happen soon, or that it's something they would even implement soon.. But it's something they need to know and keep in mind for later. Otherwise if it's not planned for or if it is never taken into consideration, the design of the game might go in such a different direction that it won't be possible to implement them easily (or at all) later on.

In regards to the story, NPC's, cutscenes, etc.. Stuff like races is pretty big a deal and if it's something we want it needs to be out there and known as early as possible. Yes there are pressing issues that must be taken care of, but we're speaking our minds on those issues as well. Hell, my very first post on this forum was a bug report.
