CM/AK questions. SPOILER!!

Seems some people are missing out running wanderer's palace for lvl 50 green gear and weapon/offhand drops which more than gears you enough to run AK smoothly plus gives some tomes to work towards darklight.

This. I geared up accidentally in WP before the story, its more than enough to last you till AK drops. Also the weps that drop at the end are the equivalent to the GC ltn weps, so if you don't want to farm Fates for seals, try TWP. Great for learning some harder dungeon mechanics too.

I gave up on Wanderer's Palace after consistently wiping on the boss every time, run after run. It seems too difficult for random duty finder groups.

I play on ps3 and i have this issue however my hotbar doesnt even change. On the boss all i can do is load the weapon which is really annoying.

AK, if you're DPS, you should grind Ifrit until you have the Ifrit Weapon. I would suggest 2 or 3 pieces of DL. This is because the Demon Wall is a DPS race.

Yeah I did a run on TWP and actually did get a ilvl 55 belt, which has already been replaced with DL

TWP isn't so bad if the tank knows how to kite Tonberry King. But yeah, I can see how DF could potentially suck for running that dungeon. I would also say that maybe the members who do know what they are doing can also do a bit better at explaining most things, at least that's my experience from the DF. But, it does come down to tank skill for that boss more than anything, so if tank is lacking you prob won't win the match.

Based off opinions here I think I will be ok the way I'm currently geared. I thought it was funny when someone told me to get the lv 50 GC weapon before i do AK..... lol...can't get that weapon UNTIL I beat AK. But yeah, thx everyone for the comments. I will most likely try and get Ifrit weapon first. I know most of y'all said I don't need it, but maybe you aren't as familiar with how ruthless ppl in the DF can be :\

I'd rather be overgeared than undergeared. People have less to complain about that way.

On ps3 the cannons have that irritating aim circle that's a pain in the bum to aim. Just r2 + circle, aim then hit x. Remember to take your fingers off r2 + circle.

On another note me trying to cast shadow flare on smn is a pain in the royal bum on the controller because naturally I hold my r/l 2 button so once I aim my aoe I hit x and do the skill in r/l 2 + x instead of shadow flare. I should move it but I'm using to having miasma 2 there xD

AK: This is just a basic question. I have finished the Dhorme Chimera and now I'm at the point of my Artemis Bow quest where I have to beat AK. Is this dungeon beatable with Artifact armor and 1 piece of DL? Basically, I want opinions on what a MINIMUM set of armor should be to tackle AK.

I can't really comment on the PS3 since I play on PC. That being said, I can answer your AK question. DPS really need to have at least the Ifrit Weapon when doing AK, and in general you should have at least 3-4 DL accessories before doing AK, though of course the actual DL armor itself would also be a big help, but not 100% needed as long as you have most of the DL accessories. Naturally, having the Accessories and armor will make this that much smoother.

Woah woah kite? lol all the tank needs to do is stand in the middle and keep him in the middle of the room and 1 dps kill the adds never allowing the stacks to go over 3 for a paladin and 4 for a warrior and the healer keeps the tank topped off (whm applys fresh stroneskin before grudge and scholar does adloquium) , other dps stays on the boss full time. It's as easy as that no kiting needed.

It's as easy as that when you have a full group that knows what to do. Our other DPS kept killing adds too fast and when I began killing adds healer couldnt keep our tank topped off. DF groups suck so we had to improvise. Luckily my brother is a good tank so he kept kiting the King around and we didnt kill any adds and won our first time that way. Give DF ppl too many responsibilities and things get crazy fast!!
