Rp esk outfits don't need to be a gil sink. And imo game goes a good amount if ppl buy from the guilds on occassion, and people wasn't self sufficant to not rely on others. Plus this bars newbies from buying these items Which may help their RP. I rather this game not be another Aion with npc pricing. "Useless" gear don't need a 1mil price tag.

signed, aesthetic optional items would be wonderful, i know i've wanted to wear glasses along with my helmet for instance. Definately enhances individuality aswell as giving something more to those of us who roleplay.

Might as well start everyone at R50 with every class then, right? Since it helps their RP characters?Rp esk outfits don't need to be a gil sink. Get real, it's about progression. Newbies don't need super fancy skills and clothes, the point is to WORK FOR THEM.

You're blowing things out of proportion, here. Access to costume slots or "looks" for gear is nowhere near equal to giving someone rank 50 in every class from the get go.
I'd say modest prices would be best, provided you want to have the game charge gil for it.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)

"This bars newbies from buying these items which may help their RP"
So would not being R50.

I said it should be relative to the gear, IE if you want to wear low level gear, the cost should be low level, if you want to wear level 50 gear, the cost should represent level 50 gear.Rp esk outfits don't need to be a gil sink. If you want to RP, you should also RP slowly earning money to buy that put on that new gear, as well as being able to obtain it.
Honestly in the current system, an RP person wouldnt have a problem, they can wear whatever they want, the stats dont matter because they are just RPing anyhow. This system would only effect people who want to look different and have good stats at the same time, ie people who actually battle, and do other stuff to play the game.
1 mill should be the price if its a fair price for someone who is reccomended to be wearing the gear. I dont think the idea is for new charchters to be wearing skins of the best stuff in the game.
I'd just like to see more hair/face options. Tattoos and face paints would be nice.
AS WE ALL LOOK THE SAME!

We do? I still haven't seen anyone EXACTLY like me.. and I'd say I'm pretty normal ;P
On topic.. I don't quite like separate sets - one for stats, one for visuals. I think its a bit stupid. But I'd like some more customization, ofc.
And I'm not really against the transferrable stats from one piece to another.
