I can't be too angry with bots since they seem to be the main reason why there's at least something on sale at the wards. Besides gil is pretty meaningless in this game anyway so do you people really care that much?
Honestly in all years I've played XI I haven't that RMT is ruining my game experience even once. It just seems like something people complain a lot about considering how little they affect a normal player.
If anything I hope RMT manages to hike up the prices so that I feel like my gil is worth something. I miss saving up for a piece of good equipment.
RMT destroyed FFXI's market at one point. Ridiculous prices like basic crystals going for 20k+ each. That was during the rusty hat exploit though so basically everyone including RMT were doing it.I can't be too angry with bots since they seem to be the main reason why there's at least something on sale at the wards. Endgame you always had the RMT's camping mob triggers and competing with them for NM's, it wasn't fun.
With how easy money is to get they're probably sitting on billions by now. Good luck buying that piece of gear once that money enters the mainstream.
Where the horsebirds at?!
Why even worry about RMT at this point in time? It's not like anyone is actually buying gil or items for this game...and if they do thats just downright hillarious.
Once RMT becomes an issue that needs resolving SE can and will let them wander around unless they catch them botting or something to that extent. No reason to divert any resources to fight a problem that doesn't exist.
Ironic, considering the majority of the BS you spouted for a good 2000 posts before you started playing the game (and even now you claim to but don't show your actual character, but think that stupid disclaimer actually means something) was incorrect, often due to not actually experiencing the content.

They were always like that. In XI I was in a,shell called qian duo duo which in Chinese translates to lots and lots of money. The pearl was even the same color as gil but I never noticed until my name popped up on task force logs.
After that my friend told me he was a rmt and apologized for getting me involved.

Source?Again STF is down for ffxiv till we start paying. Due to changes to the game, just keep reporting since ffxi's may come in for extreme cases. But honestly, that can be a joke LS name. It is a bit funny and a complete "der" with a massive vages neon sign. (only in vages is can a junk pile be a tourist attaction, IE the casino sign graveyard)
I don't think the STF go around looking for people wearing low level gear. Its more, monitoring strange transactions, investigating players that have been reported by players, and possible other methods too. But they're unlikely to be monitoring players who don't upgrade their equipment.
