On a second note, how should I level up my healer? Being the second class there aren't many quests available, and in the FATE they are practically useless. Maybe that's indeed to push healers to do more dungeons, given the apparent lack of them.

Lack of quests? Every class has the same amount of quests available to them. You are no where near your quest wall. You don't hit that until early 40‘s. And fates are NOT useless. If you are doing them around your level, a gold medal is worth the same as turning in a quest. Just without a quest reward other than xp, Gil and GC seals.
Tanking in MMO's for over 10 years.
"For by fire, I am reborn!"

I dunno. Why am I in your head? What did I do wrong this time? ^_^
Well, please consider I really am a new player. This is my first real MMORPG (I played DCU a bit but it didn't really catch me), so I apologize in advance for any silly thing I may say.Lack of quests? Still, regarding the quests.. My main class (THM) is at level 22, 17 or so in the main quest and talking about other quests I sucked all of them dry. Really, I didn't know where to go to raise my CNJ to level 15. I started fighting lvl 18 monsters to fill the hunting log (or what's called).

Tab + Aero/Bio = Gold
I generally stay out of Cleric stance the first run or two of a dungeon. Once I learn the mechanics and know my group is up to it I will constantly switch in and out of Cleric Stance dropping Stone II. Always, always, keep Aero up. I heal enough though that I generally have some room for DPSing. Some bosses I refuse to DPS though because if my group isn't really capable I'll run low on MP by spamming Stone II. Spells not cast mean spells cast when needed.

^ This... WHM/CNJ/SCH can do some decent DPS in Cleric Stance. In a run of Halatali this morning, I out DPSed the DPS (THM and PUG). It helped having Swiftcast as well. Seriously, a must for any healer.Once I learn the mechanics and know my group is up to it I will constantly switch in and out of Cleric Stance dropping Stone II. Always, always, keep Aero up. So far I've leveled my Conjurer (my second class) by doing its Hunting Log, Dungeons and some FATEs, but I guess it's more efficient if you go with a party. Doing Leve quests also help, but yeah, it's a slow process ><
@Jaminos: I think everyone had their share of bad healers, tanks or dps from DF, it's like going into a blind date, lol. But I would rather have a newbie that at least is willing to listen and try to learn (well, I've learned playing as a dps and healer with my FC helping me and giving advice on every new dungeon I've run with them, and I am still learning) than players that are disrespectful by using colorful language to any newbie or person that doesn't play the same way they do and do not listening at all to your advices and then later blames that everything is your fault =/ (yeah, I had this kind of party through DF once, it was annoying)

You can actually get good XP healing in FATEs. In this game, overhealing gives full enmity, which is a negative in party play but in FATEs more enmity = more XP. Toss out some Aeros/stones and randomly heal people, and you should do fine. You might need to mess with your targeting filters in your character config first, though.
