So if a player is about to quit and gives his gil to a friend, is that an exploit?I consider it an exploit, because if the devs intended for the sidesquests/storyquests to be repeatable (hence the gil that comes with completing them), they would have done so. So now we have a way of generating all the gil from the cake sidequests to one character. With 8 character slots per server, that's 8x the gil of a typical playthrough.
But even so........ generating all that gil early and putting it on one character just seems like an exploit. Even if the OP made gil legitimately, it should (ideally) stay on that character.
I can't officially tell you if it is or not. I'm not part of the moderation team or a dev or something. But as far as I know, if a player quits playing the game, he/she only quits one time. In my opinion, an exploit is something that is unintended, and is frequently and repeatedly manipulated. So no, a one time donation by a friend wouldn't be an exploit.
I can see big FCs convincing their members to make 7 more characters on the server just for the extra gil to beef up the FCs funds now, too. Sad state....
