    No to this. A resounding No.
    All I'm asking for is a little breath of life to be blown into the world. I want NPCs that tell me to piss off because they're closed, and go home after a day's work, instead of standing there shuffling back and forth like they have to go to the bathroom 24 hours a day. NPCs with agendas, like in Majora's Mask or Oblivion, would go to great lengths at making Eorzea feel more alive. I mean, S-E did all this great mocap, then has all of the NPCs in the same position 99% of the time. You can call it masochistic if you like, but it would give there is a reason to pay attention to Eorzean time. The only time that matters now is real world time, i.e. when the next Behest is, when the leves reset etc.

    There's plenty of ways to do so without creating inconvenience to players who simply want to log on and do their thing. As I mentioned before, limited amounts suck because it means people buy out guild stock and resell them at higher prices. This is not a good thing.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
    * Design ideas:

    agreed with the no thank you. Its not really immersion when you can still go in and they are still there anyway. Holiday sales or something sure, but no closing of shops, big shops in the reality dont close now so there isnt even that reason to do it

    That really made the world feel alive. The ONLY thing I'd ask them to change is to please please remove the NPC 3d model from behind the counter when that happens and let the player just target a sign that states the open hours of the store.

    I hated the fact that the lady selling fish lures apparently spends her time standing behind the exact same counter as during her work days. Even cooler would be the fact that they'd have some spots in the world they can be found at during their free days but that's me again asking for SE to do "fancy" stuff.

    NO

    How about the NPC's just change shifts 2 or 3 times a day, If its a quest NPC at the counter, you could just have them move to another spot in the guild or shop. Maybe sitting in a chair resting or brewing up a potion in the corner.

    I think the guilds and shops should definitely remain open 24/7

What I was wondering was if you guys would like to see something similar carried over to FFXIV? As of now, the time of day doesn't seem to matter much. Should guilds have hours of operation, or are you happy with how they are now? And do you guys like NPCs always having the same stock with set rates or would you rather see more fluctuation there?
    the problem with the shop system back then (especially with the limited amount of recources) were the rmt logging in (players did that too later on) and buy everything they could and this way increased a lot of prizes or even made it very hard for "normal" crafters to get the items they really needed for their crafts. It got manipulated way too much so i think we need to add immersion in a different way

    Absolutely not.
    If I want to log in for an hour to do some crafting at the guild, because I only have an hour to play tonight, I don't want to stumble on the hour that the guild I need access to is closed. That makes a game element potentially inaccessible to casual players, while the current 24/7 doesn't impact hardcores negatively. Why hurt one demographic at no gain to anyone else?

    I thought it was a pretty cool concept in XI, sometimes it was irritating but I liked how it felt realistic i'm all for it again.

    Sure add item camping at the guilds. Cotton bolls 200 gil each! Flax 500 Gil each! Gold ore 3k each! It'll give the bots something else to do, I think theyre getting bored.
