No "REAL" European Servers....

It is not acceptable to charge for a game monthly when the lowest ping on a server is 180 ms...

Square Enix needs to have European servers...in Europe. Its impossible to tank or play properly with constant ms spikes.

I have a 30 ms ping to all other games...we are in 2013 and not 2004... you guys need to evolve...

Welcome to Oceania in any other MMORPG. Everyone wants a datacenter in their backyard, but it's not happening unless they decided they want to supply one. To be fair, I'm sure a lot of NA players are pissy that the servers are in Montreal.

It shouldn't be impossible to play though. Do you have a crappy ISP? I can play just fine from (Western) Australia.

I'm getting 300-600 here in Aus, i wish i had 180 then maybe i'd be able to pass a dungeon occasionally, who am i kidding with the community and how hard they are even with 180 i'd fail..

Regarding my ISP actually I cannot complain, I have a 76MB connection and without any lag issues to any game....

Well I can play, is just not smooth and I think they should do an effort to allow gameplay to be smooth and a good experience, the servers are already highly populated....

Lets face it people will leave to other MMO that can supply that...unfortunately and we all know which MMO will be as soon a new expansion is out.

You should be playing on JP servers like Masamune or Tonberry. They have a lot of English-speaking players.

This need tobe adressed bu SE, will we get EU servers in EU and stop this cross over region with US in duty finder.

Not subbing before this is adressed.... it is a pity tho, great game. I cant see other players or monster run in a smooth motion, and all this hickups..... dungeons is a nightmare, with the whole game built around dont get hit by X aoe skills.

Dont even wanna think about how hard modes are.

Oceanians, you have my sympathy. But Europe has almost twenty times the population of Oceania and twice the population of North America. Even if we assumed that Europe had a lower percentage of possible buyers, it's still a curious decision not to have actual european servers.

180ms is really not that much. Its 1/5 of a second for those that dont know. The lag spikes have nothing at all to do with the 180ms.
Now that said, if you want lower than 180ms latency you need to also ask that DF servers be segregated because right now each one is shared between NA and EU.
