Deaspected Crystals...

Haha what if deaspected crystals are just crystal fatigue, as an anti-shardfarming mechanism and aren't used for anything.

If that's what it's for, it fails miserably. I have 1.5-2k of each type of shard.

I wonder...doubt anything would actually happen on a Sunday as far as a new event goes. Maybe precursors to coincide with Monday's letter...hopefully.

I thought it was obvious that they were for an event :X They were mentioned in the letter about the Seventh Umbral Era along with the rain and disappearing music.

Has anyone noticed anything strange about any of the mobs that drop these? Do you see an increase of sp or exp or a decrease...or none? Did you notice anything about the mobs themselves?

The only thing I've noticed is that deaspected crystals only seem to drop while it is raining, or in the very least, it's the only time I've ever seen them drop.

I've never gotten a Deaspected Crystal outside of a leve-quest...

I have gotten them from gathering, gathering leve's, grinding that gives sp, farming that doesnt give sp, and normal leve's.

These are just randomly given for doing anything that "could" give you SP. Usually get about 1 per hour on average.

My guess is they will be either used for the new dungeon access or they will be used for something similar to BCNM's in FFXI.

I would assume it's something that players will use them for as they wouldn't bother adding them in ahead of time unless to allow players to build up on them as they will be used for something important.

I find the Materia System thought or the Mor Dhona thought particularly compelling. But that's just me.
