blm is pretty consistently on top of the dps meter. if people are kicking you for low dps then you either need to learn your correct rotation or they are just retarded.

no blm's parse the same as any other class. In coil we run 2 brds, 1 mnnk and 1 blm. All classes stay at 250+ dps which mnk at the top cause their op

Makes you wonder if the parser, which isn't technically legit, is correctly evaluating damage from all classes appropriately. Makes you also wonder whether people using this thing to evaluate damage is forcing them to incorrectly arrange parties. I should think waiting for the add-on tools to be made available by SE and making a "parser" or meter out of that would be more appropriate.

I'm sure for some BLM, it's about the fact that the rotation changes substantively through their growth. You start with having to switch around using Fire > Trans > Blizzard > Trans > Fire, but then you get Fire3 and you ignore the Fire > Blizz interjection with Transpose. Eventually, you get to not using Transpose except at the end of a fight to switch into ice so you have mana. And this is me talking without even having all the skills! It's just easier to go with what is "easy" from the past.

It severely hampers BLM though that they get so few skills they can use while moving, forcing them to be more or less turrets. Scathe spam is useful on trash when you have to move, and I can see Scathe spam in AK trash because of the numbers of them and their throwing out BadStuff all over. Bad BLM also don't Sleep, as this would simplify AK trash SO MUCH. Not fast enough to destroy Marionettes on Psycheflayer before the second one comes up? Sleep the new one (can it be? don't know). Sleep the pack before Demon Dragon boss and pick them off one by one. Sleep the gnats on DW?! (No, seriously, has anyone tried to see if this is effective?) So on, and so forth.

This is the problem. My FC downloaded the FFXIV app, and we found it to be a bit buggy with averages. Totals seemed a little better, but I would take results from this app with a grain of salt.

People booting classes/jobs based on this app alone are idiots.
