Blackmages dps? Being booted from parties.

I don't know why BLMs are getting booted, but I do know people love them for their AoEs. In titan their dps would be a bit lower since they have to move a lot more to avoid attacks, but that shouldn't be a big problem once they have Titan's rotation down.

What can I say, join a good FC and do most of your runs with them.

Yes, BLMs may have to move around in titan fights, but you do know that our mana wall/ shield can negate titan's attack and knockbacks? which can help us continue casting longer. so no problems in that area as well.

I always see people in chat LF BLM for coil, LF BLM for CM fast runs. the only thing i dont see people LF BLMS is for AK runs, but then again, theyre only looking for generic dps which being BLM is still fine as well

There were some topics in the forums last week talking about the parsers not be 100% accurate yet as well, so people that are relying on them need to realize that their data currently might be flawed, since they are still working out the kinks in the addons.

you can download the app and test it yourself. i did that for that reason to see if ppl trying to fake my dps.

in ffxi it was bannable to use a 3rd party app, for anything in FFXI, is it the same in XIV? I know a lot of people are calling it an app, but it is a 3rd party software tool, and i almost used it until I discovered that. Is it not bannable to use the parse tool?

It's impossible for SE to tell if you are running a parser as all it does is pull data from the chat log.

That being said the parsers are terribly innacurate as they don't pull certain information such as DoT's due to it not being logged by chat. That aside I can't imagine why so many people are wondering how they have had their accounts compromised when they do things like download parsers and whatnot, unless it's from a utterly trusted source there is no telling how many people got keylogged when they googled "FFXIV parse" and got a infected mirror of the program.

Even if the devs provided us with an official damage parser/meter, the fact remains that not every class is or will ever be equal in damage output. Different damage classes excel in different situations. Looking at a simple "final" parse score is entirely inaccurate. 99% of the people who use parsers do NOT know how to properly interpret the data. It can be a highly useful tool, but in the hands of amateurs, it quickly becomes very detrimental to both the gameplay, and game balance.
