WHM might be easier than SCH?

So it might be too late for me to open this thread (Since i'm a scholar with relic+1), but what do you think? It's my first MMO that i play as a healer, and my guild is pretty Hardcore (So the other Scholar there is very exprienced) so i feel behind. Maybe a WHM would be easier for me?

They're fairly similar really; WHM can deal with damage spikes better but is easier to run out of MP with, while SCH relies on preventing damage to be completely effective but has an easier time managing MP. The best advice is to just run whichever appeals to you the most!

I started the game as a White Mage, foolheartedly believing they were going to be the superior healers and I turned up my nose to the idea of a Scholar. Plus, the idea of wearing a graduation cap really irked me! However, going through the content as a WHM really put a damper on my confidence as a healer. I felt like every encounter was like, "Alright... who's going to die this time?". Maintaining my mana became a real issue for me personally, and there was a point where I was honestly considering giving up on healing. Which would've sucked cause it's my favorite role! So I seriously considered my options, and decided to reluctantly level a Scholar. I was surprised to find that I really, really enjoyed the class... and needless to say I actually fell in love with it.

So, what I guess I'm trying to say is.... try it! You might end up liking WHM more than SCH. Both classes have their pros and cons, you just have to decide which ones are worth dealing with ;P

They all have their issues....
WHM fight much more freely because there's no need to worry about pet getting hit. But could feel tired when too many ppl need to be take care of.
SCH were much more relaxing, but helpless without pet. Some dungeons has mechanism that not so friendly to SCH...

Over all, you cant say which one is easier. Has to judge by the situation.

Whm is much easier then sch for hard modes and coil
They don't have to manage a pet and they need to cast less spells then sch and manage less cooldowns.
Whm need to make much less desicions then sch.

Sch gets to dps much more freely in easier setting like cm and akeep though. Because of the lack of healing needed. With gear sch can pretty much go afk in those places. Sch is definately easier play in easy mode places with lots of trash. Whm have some enmity issues in trash filled dungeons.

I switch to sch for farming stones but for srs business i go whm. E.g titan hard mode i can pretty much solo heal it as a whm.

Most of the difficulty of whm comes from its regen effect hate.

As far as I read around, end game healing is hectic, whm larger heals would come in handy, not to mentioned pet requires alot of micromanaging. Such also find themselves losing half their active man a regen as energy drain usually miss in endgame. Scholar relies on preventive healing, those skills relies on restoring hp to build the shield, and are usually comes with high mp cost. So I guess on overall they should be close in terms of performance, but I do agree that before the last batch of dungeons, scholar pretty much could hv their faerie do most of the healing.

SCH- Fairy AI/management, no burst healing.

WHM- Very very very easy to gain enmity, so you have to manage that and MP while not being overly careful so that no one dies.

yea this is fun to do in pug verse titan : ( get hert put on me no ones comes to take it off for a few secs then they see it and i go to heal tank cause he was really low get knocked off hahaha

To be an excellent scholar means to have control of your fairy. WHM don't have to worry about a pet, so I would say they are easier. The game makes it even harder by not having pet actions macroable.

I think it really depends on the player. Both SCH and WHM have pros and cons. Last night a friend and I switched roles for Titan HM (he went WHM and I went SCH). I found WHM to be easier, mostly due to my inexperience with scholar, and that I prefer it as my main healing class overall and pet management isn't really my favorite. He said he found SCH to be easier and that he liked it more because he was missing things like Lustrate and wasn't used to the cast times WHM has.

I think it just boils down to personal preference and play style.
