I have been selling those pieces for outrageous amounts to people with too much money. i believe some people are at the gil cap and want the pieces to invest in.
think before you go on witch hunts. Last night i made 500k+ on allagan pieces that are face valued at maybe 30k. hell i have allot of them up for sale right now for another 500k+ and will continue to do so until people stop investing in them. I think some people also just like to show off how rich they are by buying them imo.

Yea because we all know how accurate SE is with their bans right? i have had a nearly full blacklist since EA and not one of them has Deleted next to their names, the gold bots shout for hours on end in cities, the mining bots i see never get banned, but anyone who has allot of gil from playing the market or crafting ultra rare items gets auto banned. so yes i have complete faith SE will get this right.

I tell you what if you don't believe me, put up some pieces for similar prices on your server and see what happens.

I think you people are missing the point yes it COULD be used as an item to sell for a ridiculous amount because someone bought that much gil, but its not. SE is going after people with 8mil and up of gil on hand I am willing to bet they are NOT checking gil on hand+ value of ITEMS in inventory/retainer/mail. A more accurate reason they are buying these is because its better to over spend on these items and lose the difference than it is to lose the entire account all together. Why should they care if they spend 3mil extra buying up these pieces when losing the account cost them 8mil or more.

Buy gold from gill seller pay 750k for robe, make another robe sell it for 800k because I know people buy gill and will pay that, and now you have an exploited market.

No. No you wouldn't. Because if you did, that would mean you were selling to a bot. This makes you complicit, intentionally or otherwise. The left hand, as it were, does not need to know what the right hand is doing to be culpable for the right hand's crimes. Guilt by association. You shouldn't have let that bot sell to you. If a thief steals an apple from you, you feed the thief and are therefore abetting him. Similarly, if you take money from RMT, you are laundering and are thus similarly complicit.

What? Vanya robe baseline craft cost is around 450,000g on my server (that's JUST the Potash), you're looking at around 500k if you buy up the other mats. You can expect to pay more for an HQ item so 750k-800k is not unreasonable.

Clearly the people that can afford to buy these legitimately are few & far between, but your logic makes no sense at all. It hurts my brain trying to understand what you're getting at.
