Nah, I think I will skip this one, finish last year of undergrad, matriculate into med school (4 years) and finish my residency in Interventional Radiology (5 years). I will take that achievement in 10 years and it comes with a sweet title and bonus gil reward!

I'm happy these crazy achievements exists, it's something to work towards.

I'm not crying doom but the game's longevity is not set in stone and something could happen within 10 years that renders such achievements unattainable.

Completing 10,000 Guildhests for an achievement is definitely a bit much, and we will be reducing this number in patch 2.1. Once details are available we will be sure to let you know!

The point is 100% valid. Who in their right mind would sit there and do 10,000 pointless guildhests instead of spending the time doing more productive things?

That is a series of achievements I will never even bother trying to get. No value in it at all. There are plenty of much better ways for earning gil, so no - that is not a reason to do them.

Are we going to take a look at the Grand Company Supply and Provisioning achievement line as well? For the Order of The Twin Adders, they're called "The Sycamore Leaf" and "The Willow Leaf". Each of those require you to do 5,000 hand ins. Considering you can only do one per respective gathering/crafting class daily, the supply achievement will take you over 4 years to obtain... And that's just for one Grand Company.

However, if it's meant to be a lifetime achievement, the reward should reflect that as well. The rings we receive from those are no better than what can be crafted very easily.
