Asus G73J Laptop shutting down while playing

Hi I'm pretty desperate for help.

I bought a Asus G73J to play this game. Theres a problem with these and the need to flash the bios. Done and done no more problems. Fast forward 6months later to now:

in the last few weks I play for sometimes 30 mins to only 10 mins and the laptop just shuts off no warning no nothing. This is the straw that breaks the camels back or w/e because i'm not spending anymore money to play this game I NEED a fix or it's the end of FFXIV for me.

I have event viewer but i'm not sure what to look for either. Theres so many reports and nothing that looks like "Your PC is broken hahah sucker".

    Help?

*Just* happened again right after this post. Logged in for 15 mins caught a solo behest shutdown 5mins later.

What should I look for in the event viewer that someone needs to know to diagnose? SO PISSED OFF.

This doesnt happen ANYOTHER time. Watching movies surfing all fine. FFXIV = waste of money laptop.

It's not overheating either Coretemp is showing me low 60's accross the board.

Your computer is shutting off entirely? Not just rebooting? Not going into sleep/hibernate mode?

This happens ONLY while playing FFXIV?

Event viewer probably won't help a lot. But you would want to look at windows logs - system, and look for the time of the crash. There should be at least one or two errors or warnings.

A complete shutdown is usually indicative of overheating or voltage issues.

When were you monitoring your temperatures? While playing FFXIV, or after crashing?

30-10mins sound like overheating issue what setting are you playing FFXIV?

do you have a cooling fan setup for your laptop? becuase if you going to play on your laptop you should first lower your setting to standard which is 8 and 3
if you have texture quality and texture filtering high set it too standard also. You should also update your video card for the system if you have not that laptop have AIT which a new video Driver "11.5" Came out this month i test the new driver and it works just fine with ffxiv. Some Driver release had big issue with FFXIV but so far they been great.

If overheating is your issue then you may want to get something like thishttp://tiny.cc/w0j7m I recommend this one because it have a bigger fan which can enter your laptop. Some people buy the laptop fan and it have fan in weird spot and each laptop have different ventilation hole if the fan are in the side and the hole are somewhere else you wont even get good enough cooling.

At least be sure that you've blown the dust out of it as much as possible, turn down your FFXIV settings, including your resolution. By doing this you may be able to tell if overheating is still part of the issue. More likely your graphics card than your CPU.

    Complete shutdown.

No lag, no warning, playing one second the next black screen no drives spinning powered OFF.

I was testing the last time for 10 mins looking at the core temp app every 20-30 secs and it never went over mid 60's.

I am using a elevated Thermaltake fan/lap thing although it's resting on a table with the room temp around 18/19, it's a fairly stock laptop but it's beefy it should have no problems playing. Settings are all on standard or lower. (although never before had problems with them higher.)

I have very little additional things running, no streaming, torrenting ect.

I'm not the best for trouble shooting so i'm not doing any recording.

The event viewer has a couple of messages but they are like dchp error, bluetooth driver errors, ms maleware update. nothing that stands out unless i'm looking wrong.
