Question about on of the sTORY quests nin ul'Duran

Is there no pumpkin anywere within sight to pick up? or you see one and are just not able to pick it up?

I know 'some' of the story/mission quests ask you to fetch items (such as a pincer-nosed pliers), which you have to buy from a merchant (though the quest reward usualy gives you back the ammount of gil you have to spend for the item.

Uh, you don't actually buy them, they're given to you. In fact, story quests that ask you to get special items like that, do not cost you any gil at all.


As for the pumpkin deal, there is a marker on your map showing you where to get the pumpkin at(it's that little farm west of the train station in central thanalan where papashan is at).

Once you have it, there will be another marker directing you to the Coffin and Coffer, where you will finish the quest, and have access to more quests(helpful tip, when you do that quest to take food orders, one guy is outside, on the cliff above the pub).

I had to buy some orange-juice once for a quest (to be able to dye my armor), and a hammer for another one (story quest). There ARE some were you have to actualy buy the items, Most of them though are less than 100gil each. And the quest rewards are usualy 500gil or more.

I still cant pickup the the pumpkin. For some reason, i is not an interactive object. Usually, there is a glowing area on it.
