How about a way to compare gear? And by that I mean the Attribute part, not just the physical and magical defense of which I'm sure no one really cares about.

there is no way to use target focus with the gamepad atm
I've got 2 suggestions I didn't see listed, or missed.
NPC Dialogue Text Size:
I current play FFXIV on my computer and every so often I like to hook my pc up to my 47" 1080 LED HDTV. It looks great on my TV but I find I notice the Text size on the NPC dialogue is very small and hard to read. I've found ways to change the chat font size, the quest accept boxes but not the NPC dialogue.
Additional Controller Hotbar:
Maybe I'm just not used to changing between sets quite yet but I feel like having just one more additional hotbar cross would do wonders for the controls. This might be a lot more difficult to implement than it is to say but you could add one more additional hotbar to the controller scheme giving you 8 more options per set. I've included an image showing what I mean.

Various things, including bugs:
Make it so that Esuna does not remove the Leaden status caused by slime in Tam-tara Deepcroft (not usable much except the last bit of hallway where its 1 large puddle), or make the goo reapply Leaden every tick or something.
To slightly counter the Fate rushing for XP, make it so that finishing a FATE with target enemies gives a gil bonus for finishing it faster. (Adds can be the 'xp bonus', while actually doing the FATE gives the gil bonus)
Change enemy AI to not aim their skills at players mid-Raise. As a counter for this, perhaps make Raise/Resurrection add extra enmity to the player using it (I dont know how Raise/Res enmity works as I just recently was able to use it during battle).
Perhaps add a status, something like 'Reviving', that is in effect (on the one being revived, not the caster) from the time the character appears after a Raise/Res until they gain their HP back from the animation ending. The status would cause the player to be unable to be healed or damaged until it ended. This would counter the ability to use an AoE Heal to make the player gain HP mid-animation, and not receive the Weakness debuff since they never gain HP from being brought back.
Make Summons/Pets (hate that name btw) appear in party list. Add a small space under each party entry, that has the name of the pet and a Red/Yellow/Green(or blue) dot beside it so that healers/etc that use the party list to target can use that (and can tell when the pet actually needs it).
And last a personal one, just because.
Id like to have the ability to make a cross-clan character. It would be the same as normal character creation, but certain parts of the character would have a checkbox for crossing, and when making a character you can only pick 1 cross look (in my case, Mi'qote would have cross checkboxes at Eyes, Mouth, and Tattoos/Ear clip at least). Thought of this yesterday when I got through the story and noticed only Seekers of the Sun had Cat eyes (which I knew already), but only Keepers of the Moon had fangs, so now I think it looks odd.
While Tattoos/Ear clip may not be doable due to "memory issues", at least eyes and mouth could be done without as much of a hit. for simplicity, Im thinking the game like just lists a number or something for say... which eye you picked (1-6). To cross them, just make it so the checkbox perhaps... makes the number negative, and have each clans negative versions just be the other clans equivalent of that thing. This would just take a small increase in the size of a couple options (or the type of a variable), and whatever texture changes would be needed to add the look to the model.
^Of course I could be completely wrong about how it handles things, not part of SE Dev after all.
Post limit: Change this to be the level of all fighting classes, not just the one you started with. Im still currently able to do 2 posts a day, while my total (fighting) level is over 130.

Please, make in-game search for FC. I get some random invites a lot and it would be awesome if I could look up FC's info before declining or accepting.
Also, I think mannequins (like ones you see in crafting quests) would be nice thing for houses for patch 2.1. It would be nice to if gear you don't use anymore (like af gear) could be put on them and they could be placed in houses. Below is what I mean.

Please allow other classes/jobs the use of the upgraded skills that are unlocked on the original class/job that are on the cross-class skill option.

It's not optimal, but you can always just look up the FC on the Lodestone. Please, make in-game search for FC. I get some random invites a lot and it would be awesome if I could look up FC's info before declining or accepting.
