Yeah, I found a video on our VoDs of someone nearby being targetted and me turning and running the opposite direction from the way she was facing and she plowed right over them without hitting them but flung me into the wall when I wasn't even anywhere near the animation. Cool mechanics.

This may be a stupid question but... Have you tried sprinting to the guy that gets targeted? It just seems like an immunity zone but I'm not sure...

(I'm not trying to sound rude as a warning. I'm just saying it may be a stupid question because I haven't done the fight myself.)

The fight is very rng. Random wipes in phase 1 due to double fireballs on tank at the same time as death is also fun.

Why do I get a mental image of Twintania going "WHATEVA, I DO WHAT I WANT!"

I have a question, people say there isnt enough end game content but yet no one has made it to Stage 5 as its called, So what exactly is bahamuts coil? is it like those weapons in FF7? or Tiazamat in ff12? Where its just extra fun to do? I'm so confused obviously im no where near max level so i was just curious.

...Huh? If this were the case, then we would all just stack (which is quite a deadly choice)

That's not even the problem. This isn't the same thing as spell hit/spell animation; I also don't believe it's as simple as server position versus client position.

The difficulty curve of Coil is weak, Twintania wasn't well tested. The only reason any guilds are putting serious time into her at this point is for world first street cred.

Have you done much Phase 4 progress yet? Its even worse there than with divebomb.

I feel like they tested this encounter with full ilvl 90 gear on a local server with 3 ping with all of the mechanics previously known and no positional update throttling.

We're not divulging anything regarding our progress, just acknowledging the fact that they test in perfect conditions, which they recently reiterated in a Q&A.

The Binding Coil is an 8 man dungeon that's extremely difficult. It drops the best gear in the game at the moment (Allagan equipment).

As to people who say there isn't enough endgame content...well, I'd ignore them until they go and beat turn 5.

"Bashing your head" against Turn 5 for 6 days of the week does not really mean "there is enough endgame content"^^

I'm fine with how it is right now, don't get me wrong, but I really can't wait for 2.1^^ With the content coming there I think the game is good to go content wise for a while^^
