Wanderer's Palace pudding boss OP?

only time ive had trouble with this is when the dps are undergeared and the adds dont die fast enough.
Its pretty much never the tanks fault on this one.

If the adds dont die fast enough and the single focus phase targets the healer its gameover because they usually get para/heavy'd and then the pudding swipe hits for 2k ish damage on them

I've done Tonberry island (I don't care what it's real name is, to me it will always be Tonberry Island) so many times, the bosses know me by name.

The pudding can be a real annoying boss if you're not careful. The adds can stack up, and without good DPS or AOE attacks the paralyze and heavy will cause deaths.

You always kill blue then white on the adds. When targeted, run round the edges until the boss returns to the tank.

The dungeon is beautiful, and a lot of fun. It doesn't need changing mechanically, just a little strategy and the boss will go down leaving you thinking "how didn't I beat that hours ago?"

I've done this fight 3 times in pugs and never had an issue with it. Kill blue adds first, manage aggro, tank and spank. What is so hard?

Because anything that people have trouble with is apparently overpowered...

That fight is super easy. Even if your dps sucks as a WHM you can just use Holy and practically kill the adds yourself.

the adds are the issue if it seems like i need full DL DPS before they can ever burn adds fast enough and thats pretty sad considering this dungeon is suppose to be before CM and Praetorium, maybe im just really unlucky with duty finder

It's extremely poorly skilled players if dl dps is needed for this boss, could be you're getting a lot of dps that did nothing but fate grind but ya....when people were actually doing it a lot 2-3 weeks ago it was being laughed at with people in leveling af gear, only real issue with said gear is tonberry king and if you have an overzealous dps that goes over a certain stack constantly.

Uh DL DPS for the adds? OMG lol, run this dungeon twice with only level 44 GC weapon + AF armor. Clear it both times with no problem, was hoping to get my lance there so I can clear AK but sadly no lance drop both times. Went and clear AK with the same level 44 GC lance.

It's not hugely gear dependent. Had one run a couple of days ago where both DPS (I think it was a Lancer and Summoner) had outdated lvl 44 or so pink weapons and i'm like "oh great we'll be wiping on second boss a lot if i don't strain my mana by spamming Holy all the time" then quickly realised they were doing just fine on their own so i was able to focus on removing debuffs from the tank. Next day i get another group that is on progress stuck on second boss. Examine Summoner and Black Mage and they both have lvl 50 starter weapons from GC or crafted. Started the boss and they took hours to kill the adds. Eventually too many adds are still up when the boss focuses on me taking the adds with him and i get a debuff stack and get trampled. The Summoner....Blames me for the wipe. If there are that many adds still up when focus happens and it's on the healer there isn't really much they can do except hope to get lucky enough to have space to remove debuffs and avoid the oncoming swipe.
