    I'm always floored when someone is censored for speaking their mind and saying something negative about a product. Granted, Square does own these forums and they have the ultimate say on what stays and goes, but deleting posts because it's negative is inexcusable.

    Moderators; You should be ashamed of yourselves. Everything this user stated is accurate and well within their rights. Perhaps if you stopped posting about new content and addressed the GLARING latency issue, you wouldn't have customers so upset. I bet even going so far as saying there is a problem or even that you are looking into the problem (it's called VALIDATION) would go a long way. Perhaps you need community moderators? This is the opposite of a good PR move. At this point, you have essentially backed your IT department into a corner and now they have to address the latency issues publicly to save any kind of face.

    You may want to forward complaints to your Sr Systems Admin at this point or even provide contact information to your NA/EU data center's IT department. It's becoming apparent that the communities pleas are falling on your deaf ears, so who does one contact to get an answer and/or something done?

    If need be, I can provide all necessary information needed to show a consistent issues with the nodes and fiber of the companies your rent from. Do I need to log a trouble ticket on Square's behalf? The contact information for your rack and fiber provider are easy to find. Do I need to pull yet more data to show the issue is not client side but server side? I'm all for a solution, but we may be talking to the wrong people.

    Hah, yet another funny... that user got banned from the forum just now for 240 hours for "abusive language".

    Hiding behind ToS to justify the removal of a post that shows Square in a negative light. Clever work around, but that's just CS lingo for "we don't like what's being said and we're going to remove it".

    I'd like a direct response from a Moderator stating that they have forwarded a support ticket about the latency issues to their Engineering Department for review or provide the open trouble ticket numbers that are currently logged with the rack and node providers so users can follow up on the status.

    I doubt that my request will be directly replied to and information provided. Either the Moderators are overtaxed (all the copy/paste posts about upcoming additions that will be plagued with yet more bugs must be overwhelming), they don't have the expertise or are in the loop to answer, or simply haven't been given the green light to answer.

    I have this issue as well. I'm from Australia, I play on both the NA and JP servers and get the issue on both, so don't tell me it's my ISP or latency I have plenty of end-game experience in other games, most of which I played on a US server with latency of 300-400ms. Never been struck by an AoE that I was miles out of in my other games!
    This completely rules out hard mode content for me, meaning at this point I will not be subscribing. This issue combined with the continued 90k has done the dash for me.

    Shame, it was an enjoyable game. Unfortunately Square Enix really needs to learn a thing or two about customer support- I've had better support from a telco company and that is just sad. I was really hoping for more from a company I have worshipped for years

    the same thing was happening to me, and its not just titan, and enemy that targets me with an area attack, ill always get hit regardless how much i run, it wasnt so much a problem until square thought insta-kills in an mmo would be fun

    Just to confirm, the above poster is correct, I was banned for losing my temper and using "offensive language". I was given no warning, no chance to edit my post, and no link to the rules they referenced to ban me (which I still can't find).

    I know I said the previous post would be my last on the subject, but since then I've been given a work around, in a latency fix originally designed for WoW, and I felt I should share it with everyone. It edits the TCPAckFrequency setting in your registry, increasing the number of TCP acknowledgements sent to the server, which in turn reduces your latency in some situations.

    I just want to stress though, this won't work for everyone and this issue is NOT fixed by any means, all this will do is alleviate the problem for some players who are playing with significant extra latency caused by poor connections usually due to distance from the server. It won't do anything to cut down on the 300ms SE's terrible coding has arbitrarily added to the game, and some AoE attacks still remain undodgable, for example the Magitek Cannon attack used by Magitek Reavers in CM. However for me this has made titan doable, and I now have my shiny relic staff.

    Here is some tricks that will help you beat the character sync issues.
    Basically in essence the server isn't re-registering your position when you get out of the circle it still reads your character inside it.

    Predict the plumes- Memorize his attack pattern. After landslide your brain should automatically be screaming PLUME in your head. Don't cast between the two unless its needed.
    Re-sync your position- Ok, after you are out of the plume cast ANY skill with a casting bar. It DOES not have to go through. It will basically re-sync your position.
    Use LEGACY character settings- I literally just taught my coil group about this. Ok normally when you click s you walk slowly backwards and use your mouse and shiet to move. Legacy settings allow you to run backwards, side to side, up efficiently.

    I don't have any trouble dodging titan after practicing these few things. It's annoying, but basically I don't expect SE fixing the issue really anytime soon. Turn down your graphics etc to minimize lag if needed.
