    Thanks for the update, and while I understand the Dev team's position on this, I feel they are drastically underestimating how easy it is for players to get carried through the dungeons or content in question, either due to the duty finder (still no answer to what can be done about people who go AFK induty, but still get the rewards at the end) or due to groups 'selling' access to things like Titan and Garuda HM, where they will baby your character through the entire encounter for 40k gil or whatever.

    There are a lot of people at the upper ranks who have no clue how to best use their abilities, entirely thanks to FATEs being so easily spammable. FATE levelling = no skill growth, little teamwork and an ultimately frustrating situation for those who have to play with those characters at a later time.

    Thanks for the update. I agree with the DEVs on this one, and while i wish they would make dungeons a bit more enticing so people would be encouraged to do them 1-49 and not just when they hit 50... i'm happy to hear there's no plans to give into the complaints about nerfing FATEs people fling around cause they're too headuptheirashes to think of anything other than "IF I DONT LIKE IT, YOU CAN'T EITHER".

    So while I'll still hope for a Dungeon buff in the future, I'm happy FATE nerfs are not on the horizon. THANKS CAMATE.

    I feel like the only person in this entire game who enjoys FATEs. It's either this, or XP parties where people force-DC themselves constantly, and you have to idle even longer waiting for replacements (FFXI style).

    So basically, through FATES, I can go run to level 50 in no time. Proceed to the market board and buy the highest level gear I can find, then run all the dungeons (story wise) and step on everything.... Yes, it ruins the game for people!

    I ran Tam Tam the other day with a FC member of ours and I am a level 39 MNK, he was the tank. Guess who was really the tank! I seriously held enmity and arrgo 90% of the time because I was, even though synced, crushing the mobs with level 32 gear. The gear was synced as well, but it was still no cool for the tank, I mean, he couldn't even tank because of me. I felt bad in honesty!

    So yes, there is an issue with FATES, when considering pre-end game dungeons in my personal opinion.

    Those same people will still be terrible, regardless of how they leveled to 50. You say so yourself, people getting carried. FATE's don't create bad players.

    Have you people not read the interviews?

    They're boosting the amount of EXP that dungeons and leves give SIGNIFICANTLY. Dungeons are getting roughly a x2 buff. It probably won't be QUITE as fast as just doing FATEs but it WILL be comparable, and much more interesting.

    Terrible players are nothing but terrible players. Do you know how much I baby Titan HM groups by hitting a macro to warn them of LANDSLIDE and WEIGHT OF THE LAND before it hits and they STILL GET HIT?

    This is correct. I could level all jobs to 50 by only fate grinding. I will still be a great endgame player, you could just set all my jobs to 50 for nothing and even still it won't make me bad.

    Bad players are bad and good players are good.

    This just means they will avoid all of the optional dungeons and only do the ones required for the story, the first time around. Second time around, they will skip ALL dungeons except for Wanderer's Palace and Amdapor Keep. You can buy item Level 50 gear from the market wards or through questing. Or, just use your AF. Af gets you into WP and that gets you into AK.

    Basically, by making FATES overpowered in terms of xp/hour... you are funneling people into that one type of activity and many people will not be doing the dungeons you worked hard to create. People will also not be doing the battle leves you created because the XP is horrible and the rewards are worthless.


    Why advertise that people have all these level options and there's so much variety when the design clearly favors one over the other. Maybe people WANT TO do more dungeons or leves... just give them a reason to do them. People have limited time and this stance is going to come and hurt SE and FFXIV in the long run. Grinding FATES from 1- 50 will make people hate this game and resent it.
