Today I was thinking about why Levequest has a limit (allowances), it would be bad if we could grind exp with unlimited Levequest.

So, why FATEs don't have any kind of restriction? Currently everyone are running like cows FATE by FATE. FATE's areas are filled by characters, spells, abilities, it's difficult understand what happen in the middle of that caos.

If we have restrictions (I dont know, using allowances or X FATE's per day) players could be distributed around all Eorzea, between FATE, guildquest, leves, farming areas, dungeons....

I enjoy the game, and I think that this kind of mechanisms that allow us level up too fast are destroying the game. Like tokens, just in few week everyone will have lvl 50, same armour, same weapons... is actually boring.

I think FATEs being scarce enough were supposed to be the restriction by itself. Sadly it isn't quite so at the moment. The spontaneous, random bonus aspect of them dropped the moment people started actively hunting for them and them only due to the overwhelming rewards despite them not scaling properly. Another person in these forums called them an XP-piñata pretty acurately.

Limiting the amount of participations per day would make them probably more in-line with the other alternatives, but it wouldn't make the content itself any less boring once the participant count is starting to push past half a dozen. Would rather see them just be tougher and less rewarding per single monster as player count goes up.

Edit/Add-on: To make people actually spread out throughout Eorzea we would need to have all the options about comparable between each other as far as effort and rewards go. As long as there are easy shortcuts people will be flocking over to them. And it seems like that's what's going to continue as far as thet post below is concerned, heh.

About the item level restriction: will it actually make the lower level dungeons any more attractive though? They're pretty barren as it is, and now entry is going to have restrictions...
